Before 2U laundry I used to buy man-panties from Costco in bulk. I would wear them for a day or two and then toss them right into the furnace. I mean sure I was popping tags and heating my house at the same time with soiled dungarees but more importantly I was avoiding my nemesis...Mr. Washy. With 2U laundry I can avoid my bi-monthly trips to Costco where I would usually purchase enough manties to supply a small bird watching expedition (let me tell you those birders go through their fair share of ploppers). Not to mention the stink eyes I would receive from Costco patrons as I filled my Toyota Yaris to a dangerous capacity with fruit of the looms. Since signing up for 2U Laundry I am no longer popping fresh tags; however, I save a small fortune, my abode no longer smells like a litter box, members of the opposite sex speak to me, and most importantly I no longer have to deal with my nemesis...Mr. Washy.

I started using the service with The Folde then a couple months in, it became 2U Laundry. Rarely had issues before when it was The Folde, and when a problem came up, the fixed it immediately. This last order from 2U Laundry was delivered when I was at work and I brought it inside when I came home to change and head out to my next gig. Came home and started to put the laundry away and noticed right away that they didn’t follow my instructions of using a hypoallergenic detergent. The smell coming out of the bag made me nauseous. So I messaged them through the app to report the issue and Cici responds to confirm my preferences on file and apologize for the situation. She offered to rewash the order at no cost and asked when I wanted to schedule a pickup. I request pick up the next morning because most of my shirts for one of my jobs is in the order and I need them back ASAP. I put the bag out as I headed to work, assuming that they’d just pick it up in the morning. Woke up to find a response from a new rep, Nicolas, who tells me he’s taking over the conversation because Cici is out of the office and if i need a pickup, I need to schedule it through the app. So now, since I need the clothes for work tomorrow, I have to spend my only day off this week doing laundry, so I tell Nicolas that I want a refund of the $65 they charged me to screw up all my clothes and to cancel my account . He responds with excuses and tells me he will put in for a refund when he escalates my order. Completely ignores my request to cancel my account. I tried to give them a chance to fix the problem and all they did was try to make excuses and then make me do the work on fixing the problem. Done with them.

It’s the 21st century - we should have evolved past the need to spend hours washing, drying, and folding our clothes when we could spend that time exploring, innovating, or spending time with those we love. But this service sure is forward thinking. 2ULaundry gives me back the time I used to spend on laundry so that I can focus on other things. Not to mention it is high quality, fast, and so easy to use - the app lets you literally schedule your laundry day in one tap! Highly recommend!!!

Prices are high, convenience is usually pretty nice but lately delivery times have been totally unpredictable. This app is so so close to being an essential part of my routine that I don’t mind paying a premium for but they just don’t quite have it down yet where they can be relied on. For example, still waiting on my next day delivery and it’s past 6pm. So I’ve had to delay my trip out of town. I’ll pay more for an earlier next day drop off! Please give me that option! Will check back in a year or so after they’ve iterated a bit more on features and functionality.
