Although it offers very basic features and functionality, this JP Morgan (Chase) application still has glaring omissions, lacking important and convenient security features and not automatically sensing or optimizing big screen layout for iPad. For instance, there is no option to get in/out of the app quickly by using Touch ID (fingerprint ID) on Home button of Apple iPhone 6/7 or iPad Pro. Check out USAA Credit Union application for military families to compare full features with this much more limited JP Morgan (Chase) application. There is simply no fair comparison, as the USAA Credit Union application is vastly superior with many nice, thoughtful security and convenience features in a great layout of useful info that's planned, programmed and implemented well on any iPhone or any iPad. JP Morgan app designers and engineers would be wise to redesign this JPM app to implement features offered by the USAA app.
I personally believe app developers self-impose a boundary condition that an app must never contain all the functionality of the full website. Which is ridiculous and unfortunately these developers follow the same boundary condition.Having said that, this app beats every other banking app I've tried with regards to how much functionality is retained. Further, the design is sleek, fast, easy to use.I agree with other reviews that re-requiring password after verifying fingerprint is thoroughly annoying and should be removed, or be configurable. If they want, they could require a 2nd touch verification for certain functions (like to prevent quickly grabbing someone's phone, and then wiring yourself money from their account while they were logged in).
This app is making great progress thanks for adding since my original review years ago: 1.) Credit Journey 2.) Credit card reward offers 3.) View into external accounts. 4.) Making this app the authenticator for web logins. 5.) Identity Alerting and Monitoring 6.) Budget tracking like Mint. 7.) Fixing alert count craziness. However, to really be 5 stars, this app still needs: 1.) iOS Home screen widgets - think Total Assets and Credit Card Balance widgets (see Mint or Copilot) 2.) Dark Mode - come on already!!! 3.) Apple Wallet integration for all credit card transactions, not just Apple Pay ones (See AMEX on how they get this right) 4.) Ability to see scheduled bills in a calendar view. (See PNC’s money bar)
Love this app! Very easy to use. Love the way you can see image of your check. Also can check to see that payment to Chase credit card has been scheduled. Also love deposits by camera! Having Quick Pay on Mobile is very handy. One suggestion: For alerts, please default to open account that has the alert. Or show a check mark next to account with alert in list of accounts under Alerts. I have to go through all accounts to find the one with an alert to read. #########Edit--Please bring back the ability to see that a payment is pending when we go to pay a bill. Used to be there and was very handy.
This is The Greatest idea!!!For Anyone it's great, convenient, almost every option possible!! Being Handicapped, I absolutely LOVE LOVE the convenience of the capabilities!!!! Thank you so so very much!!! Plus, being able to phone my Reps. right at my fingertips, is an additional plus!! The ONLY downfall that I personally have on my account is....I am unable to snap a picture of my incoming checks to deposit, especially since my Physical condition does Not allow me to always get to my local branch when I need to!!Other than that, this App is The Greatest Thing every to be created!!!!
This app is so convenient to check balances, pay bills, confirm payment of something, Quick Pay at any time and deposit checks. It has made my life so much easier! The only hiccup I face has to do with the inconsistent check deposits. Often, I will get a message that checks cannot be deposited after taking bright, steady photos as directed several times. Not sure why that happens. Having said that, I have had plenty of success with that feature, it is just inconsistent.
