It’s literally the same, except there are no hot links for your organization, you can’t open any other tabs, and some of the buttons just don’t work because there’s no tabs to work with. Poorly integrated and frustrating to use. Stop making me find my organization every time I want to check the lunch menu. It’s not hard to have the site remember its user. Also, most of the help instructions tell you to click on buttons that aren’t available.
As before, the newest update is nice-looking and easy to understand, but now the app’s functionality has decreased, and it doesn’t even link me to the web version where I could previously print out menus, which enabled us to plan ahead for possible home lunches without scrolling through every day in the month. After searching for the web version for our school district, I discovered that the web version functions exactly like the app, and that there is now no way to print menus at all. This is pretty disappointing for me and probably for many parents (and children) our there who want to see the menu at a glance. In addition, in both the app and on the website, the functionality has decreased. Further, when I tap on things that pull up a pop-up window (in both the app and on the web), much of the time I cannot get the window to close, and I have to swipe and close the app (or close the browser window for the web version) and then re-open the app (or navigate back to the website) in order to see the day’s menu again. Not very useful at all. Please fix the functionality, and please, please bring back a way to print menus both on the website AND in the app. It really shouldn’t be this difficult to provide a simple, functional, and practical tool to help parents and kids make better decisions. I’ll be letting my district know how I feel about the current situation as well.
Hi there- If you visit your Nutrislice site on a tablet or desktop device, you will be able to see the menu in a monthly format, and print it out. You should be able to close any modal windows by tapping the X in the upper right corner. If that is not the case, please contact us at support@nutrislice.com so we can get it sorted out. Thanks for your feedback!
I'm really sick of things like this coming out only to make it MORE difficult for parents. I used to be able to click one link on my browser and have the whole menu for the whole month and be able to plan. NOW I have to download this stupid app, go in and I don't even get the option for a MONTHLY view, not even a WEEKLY view. Nope, just a daily view. If I want to see the whole month I literally have to scroll through the whole ******* month. Between this and the equally stupid myschoolbucks I now have to use just to plan out my kids' lunch, I want to tear my hair out. At the VERY least, there should at least still be a monthly or weekly view option. Where I one had the ability to view and print the whole menu for the month, I now can't even see it. This is ridiculous. I don't even usually rate apps and I wish I could give this less than one star because the whole idea and layout of it makes everything ENTIRELY less convenient. Not that saying anything about it will change anything. But I will still be contacting freshpicks to give them a piece of my mind as well. At least add a monthly view, you do realize that parents need to PLAN these things not just see them day to day, right?
The app works for its intended purpose for the most part, but I have some suggestions- Please stop signing me out every time I use the app. I understand security is a concern but at least give us the option to remain logged in, or request a biometric authentication upon placing an order. Also the “remember me on this device” on the login screen does not work. I have to re enter my email address and password everyday. - it’s frustrating to have to check the box for every category when adding an item to a cart. I tried to order a coffee this morning but was required to check like 8 boxes before I could add it to the cart, even though I wasn’t customizing the coffee at all.
App works fantastic so parents/guardians and kids with smart phones can access daily menus and filter out allergies to create allergen-free menus. (Shortens lunch wait times as the kids can take the time they need to view menus before getting in line!)If you want to print out a monthly menu for your school then head to the website where you'll find extra features. Sure it would be nice to have a monthly view via the app, but rather than give a low app rating, have common sense and contact the company directly if you want a new feature. Not fair to bash the app as it works great as designed!
My school district implemented this app for lunch ordering for elementary school. You have to select each day, select each child (even if you only have one child signed up, it defaults to “add new profile”, instead of defaulting to the child), add the teacher (in elementary school, can’t the teacher be set up as part of the profile?), then place your order. I tried to contact the developer via their website but their “contact us” page only allows business emails, so another area for improvement. The above fixes (defaulting to a child if there’s only one or even letting a caregiver select which child they’re ordering for at the outset, not having to select the teacher / time for each order because they do not vary) would be really helpful.
Hi nyctraveler- Thanks for your suggestions. We are currently updating the app to default to your profile if there is only one. If have any other issues with the app, please contact us at support@nutrislice.com and we'd be happy to assist you!
