Readwise Books is invite-only for now. You'll need an invite code from a friend to create an account. (If you're an existing Readwise subscriber, you already have early access.)
A reading app unlike any other. Buy, read, and track all your books in one beautiful place.
ONE PLACE FOR EVERY BOOK
Read the ebooks you buy or upload. Track the rest, whether print, audio, or ebooks from elsewhere. Import your shelves from Goodreads and your Kindle library to start.
THE STRAVA OF READING
Every page flip is logged automatically, the way a pedometer counts steps. Pages roll up into reading sessions. Sessions roll up into weeks, months, and years.
METRICS THAT MATTER
Visualize rich reading data like words read, time read, pace, depth, immersion, and more. That which is measured is improved.
EVERY BOOK COUNTS
Reading on paper? Capture your starting and ending page, then save your session. Highlight print books with your camera.
READING, ELEVATED
Beautiful typography, light and dark modes, pagination or scroll, and best-in-class highlighting, notes, and tags.
READING ALONE IS BETTER, TOGETHER
Your sessions post to a light feed where friends can see that you're reading. No likes to chase, nothing to perform. More coffee shop than social network. And only if you want to.
LISTEN, TOO
Upload any DRM-free EPUB and listen with lifelike voices while the text follows along.
READWISE ECOSYSTEM
One account across Readwise Books, Reader, and Highlights. Every highlight syncs instantly.
Finally an app good enough to make me leave goodreads. There’s many reasons I love this app!First let’s talk about the book tracking. I love the ability to have lists for my current reads, want to read, read, and books I own. Updating each of these lists is seamless and easy! What’s great about this app is it goes the extra step, and lets you track reading sessions as well! From how fast you read (tracks time and words per minute) and how long it took to read the whole book with total time and amount of sessions. You have a few options for tracking reading sessions, from using the apps built in ereader (that hooks to your kindle), or manual for ereader, physical, AND audiobooks! This app also nailed the social aspects. I get to see what my friends are reading, details of their reading sessions including any thoughts/comments they wanted to share while reading, and when they finish a book and their rating and review. All of this shows up in your newsfeed, and you can opt into notifications that are so fun! They’re so clever. An examples are “so close! (Your friend) rated (book) 4.5 stars! See what held them back from a perfect five!Overall I really enjoy the app and the creators are very receptive to feedback. I highly recommend downloading and I’m excited to see what they add in the future!
Great app for reading
trevorbragdon
I was a beta tester of the app for 3 months and so glad it’s finally available. It got me back into reading on my phone. So much smoother scrolling your book with more intuitive up and down swipe page turns. The most stand out feature is the single tap highlighting and making much easier to make precise highlights. Overall amazing app.
A reading app built for readers
Ivan N Ponyryov
Readwise is undefeated at building great products for people who like to read, and their new book app is no different. This thing is designed to get you reading, highlighting, and tracking both ebooks and paper. You can even access and track your Kindle library and library loans through it.
Great Features, Great Team!
B Fron
I love how many reader focused features Readwise has incorporated into the app, while still keeping the essence of what makes a good, easy to use reading app. And the community aspect is so fun!Not to mention, the team behind the curtain who makes it all come to life. It’s a small company with a big impact, and amazing customer support to boot!
