Dollarwise is your path to stress-free budgeting.
See your spending at a glance, stay on budget with ease, and break free from overwhelming charts and scary alerts.
Dollarwise automatically syncs with your accounts, allowing you to stay on top of your spending, debt, and savings without the anxiety of manual tracking (unless you prefer to!).
But that's just the start.
Dollarwise goes further than simply showing you where your money went. When you open the app, you'll instantly see exactly how much money you are free to spend, while still staying perfectly on track with your bills, debt, and savings. (Let's be honest, that's the main reason you need a budgeting app in the first place.)
Our mindful AI learns your money habits, offering gentle, actionable insights to help you make better choices for you instead of forcing you into a one-size-fits-all box.
When it's time to review your spending, simply swipe transactions into basic buckets like Needs, Wants, and Debt/Savings. Need more flexibility? You can now create custom categories to tailor your budget exactly to your lifestyle.
Dollarwise makes it easy to see your money clearly and takes the anxiety out of budgeting.

I am an avid watcher of his show, and decided to make the switch. From everything I saw, it seemed that it would be the “best budgeting app” and was basically 10x better than RocketMoney. I had Rocket Money premium for 2 years, and now have this one. Not sure if it takes a while to recognize patterns, but it isn’t auto sorting transactions into categories. I spent a great deal of time sorting things into the correct categories, however I am still having to manually do it for each transaction. They need a “create a rule” option for expenses to auto-categorize ( for things that need it like my rent payment). I saw in multiple sources that you’re supposed to be able to make goals ( saving goals, debt-goals, etc.) however, I do not see this anywhere. Creating a “budget” for the total payoff amount for my credit cards isn’t an option for that because it alters the monthly budget and info necessary to properly budget month-to-month. I like the app, I already use it more than my Rocket Money App, but for double the price, I think it needs more features and some definite updates. Also one of my accounts will NOT connect no matter what I do. One final point, I’m a weirdo who loves light mode instead of dark mode but you can’t read white-on-white when creating budget/categories and such. Just some simple fixes such as these would make the app amazing.

What’s missing from most apps in my opinion is that ability to have a set income and automatically remove my recurring expenses from it. For example, I work in the military and my biweekly income are always the same, $1150 the first check (15th of month) and $1230 the second check (30th). From the 1st of the month to the 15th I have to pay my phone bill, internet, and renters insurance which never change so I deal with that with my second check of the month. My first check I’ll use to pay my auto loan and car insurance. Then I pay $140 in groceries weekly. The only thing that changes is my gas. So either I can tell the app how much I make monthly or biweekly and add these budgets then I can see how much money I’m getting left over with for the month instead of seeing whatever is left in my bank account because it will keep going up from saving money (ofc I have a savings but my wife puts most of her check in there). I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself correctly and how it can be incorporated in the app to help me but I’m sure there’s many of us with kind of the same simulation, especially us military people! We have to budget extremely hard lol.Of course I love Caleb and I love this idea of the app but being simple doesn’t mean it to lack features. It can be complex but intuitive, that’s what makes it simple. Hope you guys take this into real consideration!

Decent but room for improvement

Overall it’s a decent budgeting app. I’d like to see some upgrades to the UI and customization/details options. I have encountered some bugs when you update a budget and it refuses to show the transactions afterwards or show what has been spent/what is remaining. I’d like to be able to add details to each budget item so I know what is being tracked under it and for what amount. I also dislike when you go to update a budget that you have to type in net new vs seeing what your budget amount already is, but I could see this being by design so you would know exactly what you’re budgeting for. Updating transactions is clunky and searching them isn’t great. I’d love to be able to go into activity and have a dropdown per budget. Also the overview screen should take me into a different view when seeing income vs spending so I can go back and forth on months and only see that data. At the moment you can only see the current month or you have to go into transactions manually, which isn’t a great user experience. Ie I don’t want “view all” to always take me to transactions, give me different visualizations or drill downs. Overall a decent app but lots of room for improvement. I believe in Caleb and teams ability to make this an amazing app it will just take time and a good community giving constructive feedback.
Pls Fix Bug

loving the app so far BUT my account disconnects after a day. i have to reconnect it bc my data unsyncs after a day. bc of this, all my labels for each transition i manually update are deleted and i have redo everything… everyday… again.. 🥲 (i will gladly update my rating once the app progresses. it’s new so i understand its a wip.) this is my first budgeting app; previously i tracked with only pen/paper and then my notes app but the math has finally gotten to me after years of doing this. Finical audit has given me the reality check i needed and now Caleb is my inner voice whenever im about to make a “bad” finical decision lol. thanks for the app Caleb and team! i can’t wait to see it grow. 😊)update: for each category can we please see just those transitions labeled instead of ALL under activity. similar to what was done under budget please create separate tabs for spending, monthly, top categories instead of being on the main screen leading to activity. also needs to update in real time, temporarily does but then i have to disconnect and reconnect and go back to the endless cycle of relabeling

What's New in 6.2.0
Take control of your categories.
- Custom categories — Create your own categories and delete the ones you don't need. Make DollarWise match the way you think about money.
- Hide what you don't use — Tidy up your list by hiding categories you never touch. Hidden spending rolls neatly into "Other," and you can bring a category back anytime.
- Smarter categorizing — When you recategorize a merchant, DollarWise remembers and can apply it to your other transactions from that merchant — so you set it once and move on.
- A faster, friendlier picker — Search your categories to find the right one in a tap.
Plus reliability improvements:
- A more dependable startup, with smoother recovery if something goes wrong.
- Polished visuals across Insights, budgets, and the review flow.
Thanks for using Dollarwise!
