All it does is run Wii games…
Salmon Lamborghini
The one thing this emulator has going for is its Wii support. I think there’s literally no other emulator on the App Store that can run Wii games. But that’s it. It won’t even run Wii games that well. I tried a game (Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike, if you’re curious) and it runs slow no matter what I do. The game can also suddenly freeze if it ever does anything too intensive, so you’d better save after any milestone you reach. The button mapping is also unintuitive. I think I can only get like two buttons to work plus direction controls. And to rub salt on the wound, what all other reviewers seem to be aware of; the obscene amount of pop up ads. Setting up the emulator and going through the tutorial for the first time will take an added minute or so just from the sheer volume of ads, including some of those malicious “you have a virus” pop ups. It will also let you know that you’ll get an ad after 25 minutes of playing your game, which is super jarring. Not that I can even last 25 minutes playing with its poor performance anyway. You must pay an expensive subscription or lifetime purchase to get rid of them. Other emulators have no ads with inexpensive subscriptions that are just for luxuries, while this one is practically demanding you to pay up. I think you shouldn’t get this to play anything other than Wii games, as other emulators offer the other platforms supported by this one while just being more user friendly. Even then, it’s likely that another emulator that supports Wii games will come out; one that has better performance and no ads. Can’t be bothered to subscribe to this one when I know my thesis to be true. I can at least give this one 2 stars off the merit of it being able to run Wii games at all, but I can’t say it’s worth all the grief it’ll cause you.

Unescapable ads!!!

I bought this app really excited to play& and I am greeted with an ad. Like OK I could just skip it and stuff but the moment I skip that ad, that you cannot escape, literally like I’m just trying to play some game. I’m just wanna play Kirby air ride. and for the death that are like 00 we’re sorry for that. You could also download an app free thingamaging whatever it is, for me, it’s not allowing me because I cannot skip the ad and I cannot break free from that ad. So for the death that are listening to your game is horrible and I recommend for anybody who actually tries to play the game do not!!!!!!btw I feel like the deaths aren’t even real people and are just A.i bots because for every response negative or positive. They always respond with the same text. like we’re sorry about the ad complaint, but you could buy a at skipper. Or for positive reviews thank you for the positive right etc. etc. like at this point and admit it you’re just bots

I don’t even know if it works, I just know that it’s shameful.

Anyone who’s ever used an emulator for anything knows that you don’t actually have to pay for them. You shouldn’t have to either. Most emulators (including some of the ones packaged here) are free and for public use with premium options strictly to provide support to maintain future updates that the community asks for. That’s part of what makes the emulation community so immortal—besides demand of course. Then, you have apps like these that repackage them and slap seventy ads on JUST THE INTRO TO THE APP. It’s shameless. Unless you even made these specific emulators or ports of these emulators, it doesn’t even give you the right. Get your bag, sure, but it entirely presents itself as adware and not an attempt to help with the accessibility for these older games/consoles. I’m more than willing to support these things, but I won’t be forced. Good luck with your app, I guess.
