Pleasant asks a better one: what’s the nicest way to get there?
Pleasant helps you find calmer, more beautiful, more interesting routes — not just the same busy roads everyone else is sent down. It looks for the things that make a trip feel good: water, parks, quiet streets, scenic views, landmarks, local favorites, and roads worth taking on purpose.
You still get the fastest route. Pleasant just puts a better-feeling option beside it, so you can choose how you want to move through the world.

Pleasant came from a simple frustration: being tired of moving through the world on autopilot, taking arbitrary routes just to save a minute or two.
There’s a more interesting world just off the fastest route. Pleasant helps you find it.
Pleasant Routes is even better at finding the nicer way. This update more confidently favors quiet roads when they take about the same time as the fastest route, gives greater weight to routes near water and parks, and now highlights when the pleasant way is also the fastest.
Also improved: optional community photo pins in Settings, clearer guidance when your signal is weak, and smoother navigation from the moment you tap Start.
