Matchmaking app Bumble flips traditional social norms. Here, women make the first move. Some 50 million people have used it to not only find a date but also make friends and conduct business. If you don’t start chatting within 24 hours, the match disappears—encouraging you to actually talk to people.
Unbelievable.

I’ve been using Bumble for quite some time maybe over a year I’ve been on other dating sites that you just go online with. Or download their apps. But the one I could not believe that I have not got played on and let me stress this out the most. I have been blackmailed on dating sites, I have had my email account stolen. I had my Facebook stolen. I had my messenger stolen. I even been hacked by hackers some of them dating sites and also through Instagram and through Facebook. I’ll try to use Instagram and Facebook pages to meet people, but I just end up falling for that all scamming going on that people are dressing themselves up to be women when it’s actually somewhat else that they still identity, and photograph claim that you find out they’re not real. I don’t know what is bumble is doing, but they’re keeping the scammers and blackmailers off this site. I believe this site is the safest site. I’ve been on that never been scam or blackmail. For some reason. Everybody has been really I have had 3 to 5 dates on here and I had one woman drove from Florida. Just live with me for five days over the weekend and the memorial day as well. Dan problem between us is that she speak Chinese and I speak English and our app did not interpret things correctly I believe so there was a lack of communication between us, but she was a very good strong woman. I believe a very good company and very good dating site best out of all the others, thank you for doing this and helping me out over.Sincerely, Jerry Duke
Why a time limit?

This app has the potential to be really good, but it has several limitations that hold it back from reaching its potential. I will say that the women are much more attractive than on hinge and tinder, and unlike Tinder, there are much fewer fake accounts, although fake accounts still exist on bumble. The women that I’ve actually had the chance to meet up with, which is a low number due to the time limit, have been quality matches that I felt a connection with. However, the time limit once you match is a horrible aspect of the app. The woman has 24 hours to message you, which you can extend to 48 hours, but after that period runs out, the match disappears forever! Most women have busy lives and don’t check dating apps 24/7, meaning that your chances are slim of getting a message before the time limit is up. On tinder, for example, it can be a few days to a week before they respond. The time limit makes it so that your odds of ever messaging and potentially meeting up with your match are greatly diminished. It genuinely makes no sense. Plus, and I hate to generalize but it’s true, women do not like to make the first move. I understand that the idea behind this is to protect the woman from creeps, but can’t they simply block and report the guy if he’s a perv? Why make dating harder than it has to be? Considering what the prices are for this app, you’d think they’d make it easier. I honestly can’t justify paying this much for an app that quickly takes away your matches and doesn’t let you make the first move. Dating shouldn’t be this hard. Make it make sense.

Could be better, could be worse

The user interface is adequate despite limitations inherent in profile writing because for example, only 300 characters are allowed for your personalized introduction of yourself. And like all the major apps, this one encourages you to spend money to improve your chances for meeting someone appropriate. On the other hand, it is possible to make a non-recurring payment for higher cost instead of a recurring subscription, though not at the highest level of perks. Compared to other apps, there seem to be fewer Catfishers, but the usual disparity between women receiving too much attention and men too little happens here too. As an elderly, but still quite active person, neither I nor most of the profiles I see are interested in short term relationships or brief encounters. So the only reason I might be interested in seeing profiles of people temporarily at a nearby airport, but who live hundreds of miles away - something with the app will not suppress - would be to get a sense of whether spending time in a different part of the country might improve my chances of “clicking” with someone because of regional cultural differences. I beg the developers to offer an option to suppress profiles of people temporarily within the distance limit who don’t live locally. Along these lines, making the distance limit correspond to typical travel times rather than as the crow flies map distances would also be a welcome improvement!
Building a better profile has never been easier. Get personalized guidance on your bio, pointers on choosing your top 3 prompts, and even detailed direction on the right mix of pictures that help spark better conversations.
