AllShare Cast 4+

I understand that it costs money to develop and upkeep an app. It is reasonable to charge money for an app. It is even reasonable to offer an app for free with limited features that can be upgraded with a payment. However, I do not think it is reasonable to allow your app to be downloaded for free, then lock *every single* feature behind a paywall. When you open up this app, it goes through a screen welcoming you and asking what features you’re looking for. Then, it asks you to pay for that feature. Then you can try to look at the other features, but they all require money as well. Giving this app three stars because it could, for all I know, do what it promises. But I am too annoyed by the misleading marketing to find out. Am I being a little dramatic, and have I spent too much time on this? Yes. But it’s still a very bad user experience, and an example of a trend in app marketing that I hope dies out.

I just wanted to see if it would work. Nope does not help me to connect to my Samsung tv. Instead I got charged for the app can’t find a way to ask for my money back, I just (apparently purchase) less than 20 min ago. Don’t want it don’t need it. I tried emailing but it keeps saying failed. I looked all over the app for subscriptions and charges and didn’t see anything so I downloaded the app and opened it no charge but when I tried to do something and came back to the “open” app I was charged. I want my 10$ back!!! It may only be 10$ but it’s 10$ that I could use on something else.

so I decide I want to do screen mirroring and my samsung TV says I need to open the AllShare Cast app. So I come over here and there’s a bunch of them. But this one is named exactly that so I download it and I install it. Then it tells me it wants $10 if it’s going to connect to my TV. So I do that. It asked me if I want to start the broadcast so I say yes. Then it tells me I need to go to a particular IP address on the other device. That would be my television. Which has a poorly functioning web browser at best. Lame. Still have not been able to actually complete the connection.
