Great except for scammers getting through!

Overall, I may have given it 5 stars but I am disappointed that a scammer posted a message to me through the site but I noticed that ‘person’ did not give their personal info (address, phone #, email contact or reason for needing my services.) I did respond requesting their info but kept getting big $ numbers for a small type of job. No info- no response! Shame on Angie’s List for letting this go through! We pay big $ for paid advertising & trust in AL to weed out the scammers- this was reported to AL but haven’t heard back from them as to what happened. Also, they never sent us the 2019 review badge logo that we use on our account paperwork. I had to call in May to get it. I was happier years ago but they may be getting too big and can’t give the service they once did. The AL customers who are serious are given a fair price and these people are doing their due diligence in pricing and satisfaction expectation.

Angi gets all 5 stars here’s why...

I started my business 2 years ago and Angies was truly a godsend. I was skeptical of online marketing since having a company who said they could “get me on the front page of Google” took my money and did absolutely nothing for me. But within 24 hours I had leads coming in. It was either 3 or 4 days before running my first lead and I ended up closing it on the first visit. I was shocked. The leads are real the leads are genuine and they are quality. Angies payment structure is far better than any pay-per-lead companies out there. My bill is the same every month which I really like. It might be great for the larger companies but in my experience it is a really good boost for the small and new tradesmen and companies.

The worst company you can deal with

I originally spoke to a sales rep for over 2 hours on a call where they insisted I either get service or wouldn’t be able to work with them in the future. Initially they wanted me to pay over $1200 a month. I said there’s no way we have that budget and they just demanded how much we could pay ($400) a month. After that I was harassed by a customer rep who was also very pushy about us getting reviews. We’re a new business and I was trying to gather info but the whole process is basically to lock you in so they just get your money. I tried to cancel the day after and no one called me back. I’m 5 days in (over the weekend) and finally get someone to contact me saying they require an early termination fee. I was never informed of this by the sales rep or anyone else. I realized we already paid for the first month but I haven’t even used this service. I should have never signed up. They are horrible to deal with and we should not pay any sort of early termination fee as we haven’t even done anything on their platform.
