Description
News doesn’t happen in the newsroom. With AP ENPS Mobile you can take your newsroom with you wherever you go. Remotely monitor assignments and rundowns, receive message notifications from co-workers, write and edit stories, and access breaking news, wires, stories, planning and rundowns with a smartphone or tablet.
The included Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) lets anchors and reporters read and review stories directly from their iPhone or iPad and stay in sync with story changes automatically. All TSV content is cached on your device in the event your connection to the server is interrupted.
AP ENPS Mobile caches your user credentials letting you login quicker and stay logged in.
Note: This is not the AP News application. It is part of the AP ENPS news production suite and requires your organization to have a properly licensed and configured AP ENPS system. Your AP ENPS System Administrator will provide your server settings and authorize your use of AP ENPS Mobile.
What’s New
Version 9.4.0.83
Thanks for using AP ENPS Mobile! This latest release allows you to better enjoy new enhanced functionality when combined with an ENPS 9.4 backend. Changes include the ability to edit, for the first time, rundown and planning grid columns directly in the app! We have also fixed a problem which prevented media upload working reliably.
Ratings and Reviews
Clunky
Pages don't open, the app doesn't load fast enough. It would be better if this was upgraded to be more seamless and less glitchy.
Doesn't work with newer iPad models
Pretty much worthless for any post2014 iPad. Not that the software was that great to begin with...
Ok but could use some upgrades
We use this app on iPads for the director as well as anchors to replace paper scripts. Our chief issue is that when the producer starts scrolling through the scripts from the computer the app highlights with a big yellow border what the producer is looking at while the director only has a tiny little arrow to keep track of the script they are on. This needs to be changed so the directors have a much more pronounced highlight on their position in the script and it needs to stop showing what the producer is looking at on the computer or make it far less noticeable in the app so it's not so distracting to the directors.
