Needs work

For the most part it Does what it’s meant to do but could do with some simple fixes.

The new home screen has added an extra unnecessary step to connect pedals. We shouldn’t have to tell the app every single time we open it that we’ve already activated our pedals. The pedals should just immediately show and ask to be connected.

Secondly before going to travel mode a secondary safety pop up screen should come up warning users that you cannot get out of travel mode without a charging cable.

Hi Tanc, thank you so much for your detailed feedback on the app.
The app is not based on a profile-system, which gives you the complete leeway to connect to any pedal without having to register it, but, at the same time, means that the app doesn't store any kind of information related to it. That's why you're asked to follow that quick path at the very beginning.
As for the additional pop-up message on the travel mode, it's something that we may consider for future implementations.

Have the best rides ahead, and thanks again for sharing your valuable opinion with us!

Excellent

Not sure how this app doesn’t have more reviews, particularly after this latest release which brings three of my desires: a single channel stream of the power data for training apps like Zwift; a way to perform a zero offset when riding without a head unit (again, like when using Zwift); and a way to manually power down the pedals when traveling so that they don’t remain active due to movement on the vehicle.

The app is straightforward and well executed. Most importantly, Favero is paying attention to their customer base. Bravo, Favero! Keep doing what you’re doing.

Internet connection requirement break app when off the grid

The major flaw that the app has is that it requires an internet connection in order to start up.

This effectively breaks the app whenever there isn’t an internet connection and you need to:
- put them in travel mode
- change crank length
- do diagnostic testing or battery check
- use the app for any other purpose.

Please DONT say that its to do a firmware update when I’m in the mountains or in the backcountry doing an off-the-grid ride! A sensible adult user can upgrade before going on a trip.

OTHERWISE the app performs OK and seems to do what it is supposed to do. Good on that part.

BUT the internet connection requirement to start the app is a dealbreaker.

If you fix this I would love to upgrade the rating to a 4 or 5.

Developer Response ,

Hi Dave, thanks for your kind feedback.
I confirm that we're working on the app to be able to offer our users an improved experience based on the useful comments we are collecting.
Please, stay posted on any future app updates.
