Perfect Partner as a New Parent

The Pathfinder Health app has been a lifesaver for me as a new parent. The milestone features alleviates so much of my stress and concern about my child’s development. As someone without much external guidance from people in my life, this app has been so helpful as I am learning how to navigate new problems by not only teaching me new information but also providing quality guidance through activities and easy to read blogs. I recently invested in the premium version of the app, and the updates have have been worth every cent. The interface is easy to navigate and the milestone surveries/ progress checks are quick and easy, especially after a long day at work. Overall, this app is very usable and has been an amazing partner in my new journey with my baby.

Amazing insights into my baby’s development, giving me Peace of Mind

The Pathfinder Health app has been my constant companion throughout the first year of my daughter’s life, teaching me about things I never knew were clinically important. It’s fun to know that Milestones like banging 2 objects together and picking up a cheerio just as important as baby’s first steps. It also give tips and hints on how I can help my daughter achieve her next milestone. Sharing these insights with my pediatrician has been icing on the cake. I’d highly recommend this app for any parent seeking to better understand their child’s development, has a concern or simply wants to see their child thrive. Five stars all the way!!

Mediocre

As someone who has worked with young children for most of my life/career, this seems like a very vague assessment. Toddlers have emotions, which ARE normal and this assessment doesn’t take that into consideration. If you are selecting “not at all” for certain questions regarding behavior then I would be more concerned than if you selected “sometimes.” No reaction, is more concerning than an appropriate reaction based on age, emotion, situation. I also understand this is a starting point for parents to get their questions and concerns flagged to address with their pediatrician, so I do see value there. I am hopeful this app reaches those parents that are less knowledgeable on child development. I can tell this app is being promoted by paid influencers on social media who are not qualified to promote this. I am not impressed so far, but I am willing to give it more time and hopefully you will revise some of these issues.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We strive to give parents the tools to enhance their children’s early development, and your input will help us make a better app.

We use SWYC clinical screening to assess overall development. It's an all-in-one clinical screening recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The screening is very sensitive and will pick up some false positives, but it also means that children with real issues are less likely to be missed. Unfortunately, today only 3% of children are diagnosed early (before they turn 3) and receive early intervention. That's essentially our goal - to make early intervention possible for all children.

We're working on our screening reports to provide more details about the results and children's development to eliminate confusion and unnecessary stress.
