Bond Home 4+

While the setup wasn’t quite as quick as it said it would be - it was still pretty darn slick - and anybody with any experience setting up wireless devices will get through it in no time. The only obstacles I faced were the initial connection and the firmware upgrade. Both resulted in the device not responding - and both were solved by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. Aside from that it was slicker than snot on a doorknob. I’m now controlling my ceiling fan, fan light, and fireplace - all with simple voice commands through Google Home and Alexa. I have the Bond plugged in upstairs in my bedroom and it has no problem controlling the fans and light in the same room as well as the fireplace in the basement. Everything works as advertised and for Day 1 I couldn’t be more pleased! I especially like the dimming feature that allows me to reduce the ambient light produced from the Bond device itself such that it allows me to completely eliminate any ambient light being output from the device itself. I’m very sensitive to any foreign light and even my router is disruptive to my sleep - but the app allows me to completely dim the Bond light such that it only produces light when it’s actively responding to my commands through Google or Alexa. Highly recommend for anything that’s not already WiFi capable and has a remote.

I had remote controlled fans but none on wired switches. I wanted to make them smart fans but didn’t want to change out the controls in all the fans. Then I discovered this device. It was very easy to setup. Just a few minutes per fan to configure the remote and app sync. Each of my remotes had a preconfigured remote in the app that was discovered with one click each time. The single device is able to control 6 fans (all I have) all over the house. I was wondering if it would reach up and down statues. NO PROBLEM. Up, down stairs and front, back of house. Connects to them all. I put the device close to each fan at setup but it reaches them all from one location near the middle of house.

I love this thing. Able to set automations, control with Alexa and many other possibilities.

I absolutely love bond. Finally a great product to be able to control my fans, fire place and blinds. But also just about all my non ip and non ir devices. Plus to be able to integrate it right into Control4!!!
I gave it only 5 stars only because I have one of the original bond hubs and just got my bond pro hub, but it will not let me just transfer all my devices that are on the original bond hub right to the pro hub. Basically I have to start all over and the biggest problem is that my son lost the fireplace remote a year ago. We never cared because it was already learned into the bond hub. But now that I am upgrading to the pro, I need the remote and don’t want to spend $75 for a new one just to learn it in 1 time. Because it is a weird brand , I needed the original remote in the beginning to learn it in.
Other than that and that I had to pay $100 for the Control4 driver so bond will work in Control4, I love bond. I even learned in a projector screen remote so I have 1 button “movie time” and Control4 does everything including bringing down the projector screen !!!
