Bose Hear App's CustomTune™ Technology pairs with Bose SoundControl™ Hearing Aids to provide clinically-proven, audiologist quality customization. With just two controls, you can set the volume and sound clarity to your liking. World Volume turns up the sounds around you so you can hear better, while the treble/bass settings let you adjust the tone so voices and sounds are clearer.
Note: This app also pairs with Bose Hearphones™. This app is NOT compatible with other Bose Headphones, such as the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, QuietComfort Earbuds, Sport Earbuds, or Sport Open Earbuds.

Too many steps to do a simple task
I wish the developers can improve this app so we could make most changes in the Home screen without having to navigate multiple screens and make multiple taps just to make a simple change. Like changing the balance, mute, focus or selecting a different mode, all could be to toggled on the same screen. Also, creating a new mode or overwriting a mode takes too many steps. I got the new SoundControl devices and having to go to multiple screens and clicks is quite annoying. This could be a simple change with lots of benefits to the users. Also, adding separate treble/bass for each device could be very useful to many of us, even better adding a full EQ for each device. Not sure without these changes. Let us know the plans. Without these changes I may return the product after the 90-day trial period. Please Bose, try to make these changes soon, ok? 😜🙏
Nice to hear again!
I’ve had my Bose hearphones for about a month and really am quite satisfied. So many instances where I feel like I’m part of life again, like sitting in the back seat and being involved in conversations, enjoying TV at a normal volume and being able to hear when taking a call to list a few. I like how I can adjust the settings to my personal needs depending on my environment.
My only issue was when I went from an iPhone 7 to the 10 Xr and the new phone would not recognize the app. Customer support helped me to perform a system update and once I deleted the app and reinstalled, I was back up and running. (Hold time was inordinately long, but the support was great.)
My plan is to use the hearphones at least until 2020 when hearing aid sales will be deregulated. At that time I am betting (hoping) Bose will have a traditional hearing aid developed at a fraction of the $5000 cost of the best ones today!
Pretty good but App needs work
I have tinnitus and am a hearing aid user. These headphones are better than the hearing aids by far. The App can be a little finicky at times. Sometimes, even though it’s been connected several times, it asks you to pair it. Then you have to delete it from your phone and start over. Then, randomly, you may have to do that again the next time you connect. Connecting to a new MacBook Pro was a real hassle. Took like 7 or 8 attempts after clearing Bluetooth device list in headset. I’m still learning but I wish there was a way to turn down world volume but turn up a targeted volume, like conversation or TV. Well worth the investment so far. TV mode is awesome
