Great idea and looks good when working. But it times out after about 30 seconds and you have to start all over again. Also doesn’t allow you to actually take pictures you just have to take screenshots. Could be so much better
Needs lots of work
The idea sounds promising, but I have a U-shaped counter and it just doesn’t seem to be able to understand the shape. Every time I try to setup the inside corners of the U, it reconnects lines and creates these abstract shapes. Tried the “cutout” feature thinking I could make a large square then “cut out” the inside of my U, but can’t get the shape to rotate or resize. Incredibly frustrating. Then I tried to simplify and do an “L,” can’t even get that to work. Inside corners throw it for a loop. Using iPhone 7 up to date with latest software. I notice all the example videos use simple rectangle shaped islands... would be nice if there were an example video for challenging shapes.
Works, but quits often
This app enabled us to get a pretty good idea of what our rectangular island would like like with a different countertop. The app is not perfect, but considering how seldom we will use it, most of the shortcomings are not a big deal. The most irritating thing was that the app would almost always quit after I photographed one option. Then I’d have to start over and rescan the counter etc. That said, the app is still useful.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
