What’s New

Version 3.1

This significant setting will enable Deep Fusion and Smart HDR support for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 13.2. Get the best image quality from the powerful A13 Bionic processor!

iPhone XS and iPhone XR gain Smart HDR support with the best A12 Bionic processor has to offer.

Other iPhones and iPads still benefit by ensuring maximum image quality with better noise reduction, image stabilization, and additional processing. We believe this is a huge leap in image quality!

This setting has no effect on RAW image format and may cause photo saving to be slower. iOS 13 is required.

Absolutely fantastic!

Camera-M just overtook every other camera app I have installed as my primary go-to for photography on iOS. This app is exquisitely designed and a joy to use. The built in guides are great at clarifying the bevy of features this app offers. I love the focus peaking and tracking, the intuitive, accessible controls and the clear feedback interactions (love the half-screen flash to indicate a reset completed). All in all Camera-M delivers the fit and finish I've been looking for in a camera app but haven't found... until now!

Good app with big flaw

I’m enjoying the revived app, but one thing that needs to be addressed is that the format settings don’t stick to the lens they’re assigned to. Since the ultra wide lens won’t shoot RAW I choose TIF, but every time I switch to it the default is HEIF.

Related to this is that when I then switch to one of the other two lenses they again default to HEIF or TIF if I remembered to switch it. They don’t retain my choices.

Can there at least be a setting that makes each lens have a default that we can change as needed? For example, when we switch to the telephoto it always defaults to RAW. That’s the only thing stopping me from making this my default camera app.

Thank you otterman for your feedback. We are working on a solution to this. Let’s talk again after the next update.

Could Be A Great Camera

The camera has a ton of features but half the time they don’t work. For instance I tried to click on the support tab and nothing happens. I try to click on the tutorial tab and nothing happens. They need to add in 16x9 and other formats as it only has one format right now and also they need to add in a picture editor like the other really good cameras on the App Store. Also it is very confusing to figure out when your new at it.

Other than that it seems like it is a decent camera but I have others that are better but I will keep trying it every now and then to see if they update these issues because then it would be my go to camera.

Developer Response ,

Hey there, Bmw569. Since your original review and our response to it, Camera-M had been updated with bug fixes and other improvements. Let us know, if you still notice any inconsistent behavior. We will gladly take a closer look.

Thank you for your feedback, Bmw569. After thoroughly checking the Support and Tutorial options again — we were not able to replicate the unresponsive behavior you had described. If you have a moment, please let us know which device and iOS version you are currently running Camera-M on — this way, we can better assist you with resolving these concerns.

The 16x9 crop and editing features have been in various stages of research and development. Both are on Camera-M’s roadmap and will be released, once everything about these features gets properly scrutinized and tested.
