Spades partner bot needs more training

Update: earning points is a nice feature, unfortunately update downgraded to 1pt against bots. AWARD POINTS ON RESULTS If a player is actively competitive, even against bits, they should earn more points than someone dumping cards to end the game quickly and losing just to earn points. Overall play is good, the challenge team generally plays well, but partner habitually under bids or takes bags, and when partner of nil bid makes bone head leads like a 4 of a suit. Other strange behavior that leads to over/under performing bids, regularly trumping my winning play, saving high spades leading to trump crash, etc. How about a high performing partner upgrade with some AI training as it seems the hard coded logic is highly flawed.

Also, on iPad the leftmost card is covered by Avitar, also the angled card play stack is attractive but takes a little effort to identify who played what card and could be improved.

5 STARS BUT SMALL EUCHRE GRIPE

I’m giving this 5 stars because so much of it is better than most other card games I’ve played. The only one I’m having a problem with is Euchre. The first thing [and I have to say it’s only my opinion] is the rule where when the bid goes around twice the dealer has to name trump. This reduces the game to one of pure luck and a skillfully played game can be won or lost based solely on luck.I would love to see this changed to being able to pass and throw the deal in. Other than that the game strategically plays better than any I’ve downloaded, and I havent missed any! I’m so finding it very confusing following the dealing and bidding because it goes soooo fast. I find myself having to study the board before playing just to see who dealt, what trump is and who named it. Also the names identifying the players are placed closer to the opponent than the actual player. I can live with these things because everything else about this is app is the best but I’m hoping these things will be taken into consideration, especially if there ore others agreeing with me. I’ve gotten hooked on gin rummy and again I love how it plays. I only wish I could arrange my cards as I’m playing. It’s difficult to know what to draw or discard when the cards in my hand are so mixed up.

Needs work

Great app with excellent user interface and classic card games which can be played either against a bot or in a public lobby. The problem is that the platform crashes regularly, day and night, for no apparent reason. The system either goes straight to a failure page (“Oops! Something has gone wrong.”), or else it freezes in mid-game and locks everything until players have to abandon the game. The “Oops! Page” advises to contact support, but there is no link anywhere in the game to do so. In addition, the system kicks you out of a game if you fail to play within 14 seconds, and you cannot regain your game status, whether in either a bot games or a real game. Most annoying is that the system allows players to abandon a game at any time without penalty. The minute someone realizes they are losing, they bail out of the game and leave all of the other players in the lurch. Can’t there be a penalty assigned to a player when this happens, e.g. a 10 point reduction in their overall ranking score? On average, I can complete only about 2 games out of 10 because of this problem. Come on, Bicycle! I’ve owned every software and app package you have ever put on the market, and this one leaves a lot to be desired. A little help, please?!?
