This app is a complete disappointment and a potential safety hazard. I use CDL Help to prepare for the CDL test, and honestly, it’s infuriating.

The test questions and answers are not just incorrect but DANGEROUS. For example, the app states that you can open a hot engine to check some fluid, and it marks this as the correct answer! But just below in the explanation, it contradicts itself and says you should never do that. How can such inconsistencies be allowed in a learning tool, especially when safety is at stake?

I paid for this app expecting quality content, but instead, I get nonsense that could cost lives on the road. The questions are misleading, the answers make no sense, and studying becomes a frustrating battle against ridiculous instructions.

Developers, fix these mistakes, because with this kind of “learning,” your users are more likely to cause an accident than pass their exams. Right now, CDL Help is nothing more than a paid trap for unsuspecting drivers, not a reliable study tool.

To verify this information yourself, follow these steps:

1. Open Google and search for "California Commercial Driver Handbook".
2. Click on the first link, which should direct you to the official California DMV website.
3. Open the PDF version of the handbook.
4. Go to page 70 (you can use the page selector at the top if you are viewing the page on a computer).
5. Find the section titled "Engine Coolant", where this information is explained in detail.

Clarification of the question:

The handbook states that some vehicles have sight glasses, see-through coolant overflow containers, or coolant recovery containers, which allow drivers to check the coolant level even when the engine is hot.
This is why the correct answer in our app states that you can check the coolant level of a hot engine.

However, this does NOT mean that you should remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot. The handbook explicitly warns against this, as it can be dangerous due to pressurized steam and boiling coolant.
