Update: the app doesn’t remotely connect anymore. It says firmware update required. I’ve already upgraded the unit…The unit is solid but the app is very bare bones. It cannot configure the unit, the recording feature lacks stats, search, elevation maps etcThe unit has so much potential but like the app it is barely touched. I would pay a subscription if the app and unit would receive the same level of attention as the hardware and hardware paring system which works flawless. Add the tire monitor, it’s detected add the remote, detected add the odb controller, detected. No fuss no nothing. The installation part is really a thing of wonder. Then everything falls apart:The screens are not configurable, gear isn’t displayed, no default screen at startup, remote controls are not configurable, the app is bare bones, remote view works (sometimes), no built in navigation software, etcWould pay more for this to be developed further!!

I wouldn’t even bother with a review, but the support is garbage. Don’t try so download anything, just plan on repositioning the Chigee to remove the micro SD after ever ride to download any video you want to save. It only connects to a phone successfully one time. I’ve got multiple Chigee so 5 lites “connected” to multiple phones. The CarPlay works, but the down feature is unusable. The settings menu has been changed to a tiny list so you can’t access anything with gloves on. This is overpriced garbage. Buyer beware. Chinese spyware

Can’t connect to the app after the initial setup. Wish I could remove the one star. Support to resolve the issue is also horrible. Try this blah blah blah.. like it’s the device firmware or app update. Only way I got it to work was to delete everything, forget the network/device and start over.

I had the same issue where the unit was stuck on registration screen. I reach out to customer support on Chigee’s website. They responded same day. They are looking into the app and they advised me to tap the screen ten times. This will force a bypass of the registration screen. Once that is done you will be able to use the AIO-5 unit normally. I gave 3 stars for the customer support.
