Clear Fear provides you with a range of ways to manage the symptoms of anxiety.
Developed by a clinician co-collaboratively with young people, Clear Fear uses a Cognitive Behavioural framework to help you change anxious thoughts and emotions, alter anxious behaviours and calm fear responses. It also has helpful descriptions of the different ways in which anxiety presents, resources and a 'grit box' to boost resilience.
It is recommended for the ages of 11-19 years but can be used by a younger group with the support of a parent or carer.
Clear Fear compliments, but does not substitute for the assessment and ongoing support of a mental health professional.

Clearing my fear
I was having a very high level panic and anxiety attack, and remembered a friend mentioning this app. So I downloaded it to try and help me. At first, it was a little difficult to figure out what I needed to input, but that is probably because I couldn’t focus due to the attack. Once I started the activities, I began to calm down, and my head cleared. After a few steps, I can focus again and think straight. It really helped. And now that I’m not in a bad mental space, I can go in and input the information needed. I would recommend downloading it and setting up etc when you’re in a good mental space, just to make it easier for those difficult times. 👍🏻
Super Helpful with Depression
My sister recommended me this app months ago and I hadn’t needed to use it until tonight. Well I wasn’t set up for anything so I’m trying to get everything set up while I’m crying and spiraling downward. When I finally got everything entered and could actually use the app, it was incredibly helpful. After doing one activity my crying stopped and I did a couple more just to make sure that I was calm enough to try to sleep. The only complaint I have is for some reason I couldn’t get the one where you stare at a scene to work. I kept pressing the play button, but nothing happened so I did it with the play button in the middle of the screen, I think I didn’t get the full help and experience from the activity but it did still help some. I would love to see this app continue to grow, and this is now my go to with my emotional struggles.
This app is so extensive and an amazing addition to my collection of self help apps. I would put this on-par, above, or at least very complimentary to the SAM app. It’s very impressive and I can already tell it is going to be a valuable resource to me, minutes after downloading. I have a slight problem tapping on boxes to type in them, but it’s nothing I can’t deal with considering how incredible this is. I am going to tell my therapist about this app so she can recommend it to her other clients.
You can tell the app developers really care about those experiencing anxiety because they go above and beyond. I highly recommend for anyone looking for anxiety help apps!!!
