Crew Up 9+

Super handy APP for finding crew in any location & market – very user-friendly. I know multiple colleagues who have used this app to locate crew for a job and/or to book gigs for themselves, so it works both ways. Once you set up your profile, it quickly showcases your background and experiences, as well as your availability for anyone looking to set up a team for tomorrow or for next month. Connects all of your social media accounts and contact info into one convenient place and is a perfect tool to network within your own exact “niche” element of the production landscape. Also removes the need for a “middleman” and any possible costs or fees that might incur.

This app is free, has an easy common sense interface and takes the guesswork out of booking and scheduling jobs. I know producers and other film professionals who exclusively use this to hire crew and I have been hired plenty of times myself as an Assistant Director by being on this app. It doesn't take any extra work, no annoying additional paperwork and you always know if you're on hold or fully booked and what your days will look like. It's more simple and orderly than texting and emailing and calling. It's all in one place and I'm glad someone's finally done it.

Recently used this app for a shoot and it was great! It’s nice to have a place to communicate with the entire crew as a central command center. Was instructed to download app by the production manager, was sent a job offer for specific dates to review and hold for, then accepted the job. Booked! The ability to view your calendar and see a quick glance of what jobs and dates you’re booked for and see the faces/profiles of who else is on the job is a great idea for us freelancers. Highly recommend all film crews use this!
