Better apps

They will charge you a $39 if they feel you were out of route for an order without even showing proof or giving time to fight the violation. Then the system does not account for traffic or time to load your vehicle. The windows of time are very tight. God for bid bad weather or a road closure. Majority of the time more then not the food is even ready on time in certain areas so you are going to be late to the delivery. Live driver support they are nice, but you have a million different numbers calling you at once while you are trying to deliver an order. Deliver that, and another customer service number, you never know how much your going to make till after the fact because of the tip pool

Bad app

I went for DeliverThat based on a video by Cars n Cribs. I have been doing DD and Uber for over two yrs and wanted to add another gig, so I went for it. I applied on CnC’s link created credentials and filled application, then waited. Waited, waited. I rcv’d the bags and had to send in a photo of them. Then I saw the reviews on the app store and got a bad feeling. So I sent DeliverThat an email, a text, and two phone messages and waited and waited. I am now working on waiting for three weeks. On Monday I sent Sarah an email on how long I had waited to hear back if I was approved or not. She replied I would hear back by end of business that day. I rcv’d an email from VROMO, who the heck is that? I checked online and there isn’t much on VROMO, by Fleet Engineering. Good thing I saw Fleet Engineering. I was surfing on the app store for other gigs and saw DeliverThat and in small print Fleet Engineering. So… Fleet works with DeliverThat? Maybe this info was in the vid I saw like 3.5 weeks ago or not. At any rate, DD and Uber Eats were nothing like this outfit. I pretty much signed up and was working within a week. To DeliverThat: I am a fully retired sales manager and I have never seen such a poorly run operation. I am still waiting for the activation email notice and the original credentials I created to apply no longer work. …..the dots represent me fading into the sunset away from DeliverThat.

Flaws

Deliver That is not a viable option for slow markets. At the current moment, there is no genuine way for a delivery driver to review a contract properly before it is sniped/ snatched up by some other driver just looking to take anything and everything. Other apps like doordash at least give the driver some privacy to review some sort of contract without the fear of it getting taken away by someone else because you don’t blindly accept orders. Then they have fines for if you reject an order too close to the pick up time even though the orders cant be seen for more than a second before they are swiped. The culture of Deliver That is also lacking, they stress that communication is key but when a driver messages them through the app there is no reply. Their reps will just complain that they don't have enough workers to constantly check the “convenient and always available” in app chat feature. How is anyone suppose to privately contact deliver that while in a restaurant that actively chooses to disregard contracted pick up times?
