Created for the love of diving with sea creatures, we believe there is no better dive than when you and a sea creature have an amazing encounter.
Scuba SEAsons strives to achieve that dream on every dive by enabling divers to discover what time of year is the best to dive with any sea creature anywhere in the world.
Submit your sea life sighting photos, to help refine the data set and show the most accurate seasons for all sea life
Is your dive site not on the app yet? no problem pull you phone out while you at the site and hit the "I'm at the dive site" button, Scuba SEAsons will grab your current GPS coordinates, add the dive site name and submit, or drip a pin on the map to mark the dive site
Not sure what you want to see just yet? Click on and of the blue dive site anchors to pull up submitted photos from around that dive site. if you have selected any sea creatures already photos show will be for selected creatures only.
Need help finding your dive site? Our search tool lets you search my locations, dive sites and seal life!
Dive site in the wrong spot or named incorrectly? Let us know but long pressing on the dive site flag to send us an email. Same goes for sea creatures, if we have misidentified any creature please let us know by long pressing on the sea creature photos flag icon to send us an email to make the corrections.

Also we have done extensive work bug fixes and user experience, as such all photos should load much more efficiently than in prior versions and overall the app will be a much nicer experience and a fix for the sign in flow bug that was recently reported

New for 2026!All data entry screens follow the same flow and feel as the site review system, this has allow allowed a major upgrade to the sea life sightings submission feature, you can now do batch uploads of your sea life sightings! A major focus was on improving the user experience with numerous small quality of life enhancements Finally, we didn't take a holiday break, instead we went bug hunting and have eliminated every bug we could possibly find!

Introducing the Dive Site Review Feature!
Allows you to share what its like to dive at the sites you have visited based
Also photos you submit on a review - sea life will be promoted to sea life sightings AND if we think you have added a photo that represents the dive site perfectly it will become the header photo for that dive site!

Bug Fixes:
User Profile not being created: fixed all points of sign in now check and will create a profile if you do not yet have one
Picture Upload not working: tested and corrected, sea life photos can now be uploaded again
Wifi Photo Rejection: corrected, wifi was being recognized as poor network signal, this has been remedied and wifi will no longer trigger rejection of photos (passing the to feed page for retry)

Floating button menu has been move into a swipeable bottom bar that can be shown or hidden with a single tap

We are moving our photos storage service from Supbase to CloudFlare, the main user benefit is that new photos load up faster than they did from Supabase

Dive Site Search tool has been fixed and is working again
User feedback feature added to main map page
dive site and photos submission modals now have confirmation and error messages to help users in the submission process as well as a red to green indicator that will let users know when their submission is ready to submit
Dive site now carries a "+" button that will pass the dive sites location to the photos submission form to make photos submissions easier
Dive site photo aspect ratio is now preserved so pictures that are taller should no longer be getting cut off

All three guides have been enhanced to be more user friendly, with out of focus items like other buttons being disabled to avoid confusion and the map auto adjusting to help users during certain steps of the guides.
Intro guide has been updated, It now starts with a basic run through of how the guide system works and also makes note of the pic carrousel pop out feature when selecting sea creatures
Dive Site and Photo submission forms now have a confirmation pop up to let you know it was successful
Small feedback request tab has been added, it should pop open ONCE after 3 mins to draw attention to itself. Using a guide will cancel the timer and restart it once the guide has closed again.

The dive site adding form has been updated, the "i'm at the dive site" button now smaller and labelled with a "my location" icon, and spinner now shows when it is in the process of retrieving GPS info
As per user requests a new method of adding a dive site, pin drop now in place functions similarly to the photos pin drop
The dive site guide featuring Emilio the Sea Lion has been updated to reflect changes to the dive site adding form
Both dive site and photo submission forms now carry a "?" icon at the top that will start the respective guide at the appropriate page
The registration page has a new error message to let users know passwords must be 6 characters or more to be accepted

Picture carrousel has been enhanced as per user requests, long pressing on one of the sea creature choices will now pop out that choice for a better look, long press on it to put it back or long press on another to swap them!
Profile page created that can be accessed by tapping on the DiveGo logo in the bottom left. (currently read only)
Shows your user name and email and has a share button that allows you to invite others to try out Scuba SEAsons.
Additionally a share function has been built into each photo on the dive sites allowing users to share photos they like with others and spread awareness of Scuba SEAsons
