Save the hassle of waiting at a doctor’s office, urgent care, or emergency room! Highly recommend!
I’ve been to my daughters pediatrician twice this week, er once, have been in constant contact with their office... for them to only initially run two flu swabs for them to come back negative. Her fever was sky high (over 106 on forehead) and they dismissed it because it was a forehead thermometer, which I demonstrated it read me correctly, and she had a dose of Tylenol before being seen about 45 min.... her fever persisted so long she developed an ulcer in her mouth on her lower gum line! I know my daughter better than anyone else and if I’m going out of my way to switch my work shifts around to make sure she’s getting the medical attention she needs only to walk away with nothing, no diagnosis or anything... it’s very discouraging! I’ve had about 10 hours (that’s being VERY generous) of sleep since Tuesday! At this point it’s not only taking a toll on my baby but also her caregiver!
Instead of going into the office to get her swabbed for strep that they 100% failed to do so between 3-4 staff members I’ve been in contact with all week, I looked up telemedicine through my UnitedHealthcare, found this app, was a quick set up and a wonderful experience!! I recommend this very much!!!! You won’t regret it!
I NEVER do reviews but I’m so blown away, I just had to! I wish I had contacted them sooner!!!
I don’t often write app reviews but felt compelled to with this. I am an international flight attendant and this app is a game changer for me! If it had not been for Dr on Demand I would have had to find an urgent care center somewhere, wait hours in a room filled with other sick people and would’ve paid far more just to be told what I already intuitively know...that I have a head cold and an ear infection. These factors are what usually kept me from going to urgent care and getting the treatment I probably needed. Can you imagine being in a foreign country, not speaking the language, having to weather snow and ice on foot while you try to make your way to a hospital in a country where you don’t have insurance coverage, alone, only to have to trek back to your hotel and find the nearest pharmacy on the way? It’s a big deterrent. Now, with Dr on Demand, I can do it from the comfort of my hotel room and the app will locate the closest pharmacy. Today, this app and the wonderful doctor kept me from flying with a middle ear infection and risking potentially blowing an ear drum, which would have resulted in permanent hearing loss. I waited less than two minutes and the appointment probably only took five minutes. This is my new, most favorite health app! Everyone should download it and have it ready for when they need it.
Personable, 1 on 1 Caring Doctors
I’ve been in the healthcare field supplying doctors with Capital equipment for 20 years. I have my own company now and even have 2 partners that are physicians. I haven’t been sick in 14 years with anything more than a sinus issue. After having the flu last week and knowing how my immune system usually kicks it out of my body within 2-3 days, I always go holistic and end up sweating it out. However, this year I was traveling when it happened and after the flu was over and after 3 days of an unimproved horribly sore throat, I had to see a doctor this morning before my partners even awoke out of bed. The doctor, Dr. Wilson was one of the nicest doctors I have ever had the privilege of being treated by. Her personality was amazing and you felt the caring demeanor she possesses for her patients, and the pride she has in her profession. There aren’t many Dr.’s out there that possess this wonderful doctors attitude. She is the reason I won’t wait 3 days and hardly be able to swallow again. Keep up the amazing work Dr. Wilson. I’m going to post on My LinkedIn professional page where I have over 18,000 followers about the site, and about the care I was given. It’s hard to impress me, as I’ve been a co-owner of a couple of clinics and a surgery center in the past. But I was impressed. Thanks!!
