I love the convenience of online banking. This app is easy to use. I do just about all my banking online and have done so for over 10 years. There are 2 suggestions that would make this experience even better. 1) The ability to lock the account for safety. (There use to be a separate app that provided this ability in years past.) 2) The ability to notate when your traveling, where you’re going and when you will return.

There are so many things I don’t like about this app. The way you have to enter account numbers on transfers is crazy. 10 digits..but sometimes you need the first number, other times you don’t (direct deposit). After you make a deposit, if it’s after a certain time I think (though I don’t know what that time is), the deposit will not show on your account until much later the next day. It doesn’t even show as pending. I have ended up calling several times because I was concerned when I didn’t see my deposit. The representative explained each time and I still don’t really understand when you see it, or when you don’t. And this thing of needing suffixes when making a transfer…what the heck is that? Also the side menu keeps popping up and getting in my way for no reason that I can tell.

This app is okay for basic account use as far as moving money from one account to the other and seeing your daily balance. Other than that, the functionality is subpar at best. The bill payer does not work. If you wanted to transfer money to an external account, they’ve made it difficult to even understand what information they’re asking for. This app needs a makeover. A functional one at that. It also doesn’t provide you the option to see your full account number like other banking apps do. Even if you look on a statement, it’s not there. It’s the same when you log on online and not in the app. If I didn’t like the actual bank itself, I wouldn’t bother with the app. It’s not very convenient.

Dominion Credit Union App. I utilize the Dom CU app every day to review charges and payments. I perform a lot of volunteer work that always involves building materials. I purchase the materials with my Dom CU card and use the app to Track outlay and I utilize Mobil deposit and transfers from my Dom CU savings to my Dom CU credit . Due to lag on CC purchases to actual charges, I utilize the available credit figure to have an updated true balance on my card
