EchoEssentials is a mobile application catered to cardiology curious residents, early cardiology fellowship trainees, sonographers, or healthcare workers looking for a user-friendly narration through an entire normal basic transthoracic echocardiogram (from the first image encountered to the last). The content is delivered in chaptered, video format with closed captions. This course offers a chapter on instrumentation basics with helpful tips/tricks for image acquisition, and the remainder of the course outlines: how views are obtained, and how to interpret a basic normal adult transthoracic echocardiogram. There are also side-by-side references to selected abnormal pathologic findings. Note to users *AI was utilized to create the icon for the application. There was no other use of AI throughout the educational course.
