App needs better UX

Evie is obviously 5 star operation but its app is a 3 star at most.
- First load of vehicle map takes a long time
- No status indicator what the map is doing, lots of dead time
- Is there a live update of the vehicles? Doesnt seem like it I have to close and reopen app to discover newly taken or available cars. No refresh button
- Some days the API is slowwww and there is no caching of vehicles so everytime you open the app it takes forever to see vehicles
- Vehicle positions may be guestimated due to faulty GPS
- No indicator if vehicles are plugged in and charging, helpful to decide which vehicle to pick at a charging station
- Sometimes icons overlap so I wont see two vehicles next to each other
- Really slow delays talking to car, pausing, unlocking, etc probably Wifi issue or technical thing with the onboard system
- Extremely slow delay of ending trip, bluetooth will quickly lock car but the actual end trip indicator continues to spin which makes me worried I need to wait until its complete, wish there was a final trip ended screen or a notification on the phone like Lyft does
- Hourcar interface whole nother bag of worms.

Works well enough, have some suggestions

The app is handy but I’ve yet to figure out the Tap/Togo card alternative. My phone has died while I’m out and I wish I could have that card be able to open or close a reservation in a pinch.
I have also had issues with the ending of (Evie) trips when another trip (hourcar) begins, as it assumes I can’t have two bookings open but I’m driving an Evie to the hourcar spot...
Really appreciate the ability to extend the end of hourcar trips easily.
Would be nice if the hourcar reservation system was able to show when selected cars were un/available in addition to choosing my own times, since I can be flexible with my time often rather than try and bus or walk to other parts of the city.
Evie is a great service and hourcar too. Just a few minor upgrades would do well.

Great for local transportation

The Evie Carshare service is super convenient and the best way to get around the Twin Cities. My membership allows me to live car free and has saved me so much money in car payments, gas, and maintenance. The only downsides are that there isn’t always a car nearby when I need one because of how popular the service is, and that some other users leave the cars dirty or damaged (behave better!!!). I would also like to see the service areas expanded to include Evie parking at the airport and MOA.
