Facebook App not working on my iPhone or iPad

***Friday Jan. 14th. —- the Facebook app worked for about a day and a half, then stopped working AGAIN! There was an update on in. The APP store and I was hoping that would mean everything would be great but apparently it's not!! ***

***Tuesday Jan. 11th --- the Facebook App is still not working. PLEASE FIX THIS!!**** Thursday , January 6th, the Facebook App stopped coming up on my iPad or iPhone correctly. I have not changed settings on either device. Sometimes it almost gets there but it just idles and no posts, etc. ever show up. The game I play that requires me to sign on to Facebook to save it can't seem to access Facebook either. At one point I could access Facebook from the game through the internet but now Facebook keeps directing it to the App but the link will not allow me to sign on ... The app started working again yesterday and then today the Facebook App on my iPhone and iPad are not working again. My internet is fine, and my husband's Facebook is working just fine. He has a Samsung. I have talked to other people and their FB is working fine. I noticed yesterday that FB looked a little different in the layout etc. If you are going to use accounts to experiment, can you ask first or at least notify us. I am really getting tired of this and I have very little time to use the game I like to play, but it won't save without FB…. GET SOME TECH SUPPORT THAT WE CAN TALK TO FOR THESE ISSUES PLEASE!!!

Disappointing

I’m giving fb two stars because for awhile I have noticed people I am not associated with have pictures of my daughter on their Facebook. My daughter is only 4 years old. For what ever reason I cannot find where to make my profile completely private. The only things I can see that are private are my “about me” info and what ever I post/share. My featured photos can’t be made private and it really irritates me that fb changed the privacy settings making it impossible for our profiles to be 100% private and inaccessible from people we don’t know and aren’t friends with. Fb used to have better privacy settings that way when you set your profile to private absolutely no one you’re not friends with can see your pictures or “about me” info. The more time passes and the more problems that pop up it makes me think the Facebook company as a whole does not care about its users right to complete privacy from random unknown people on the internet. I mean there’s a setting to keep people from looking you up from a search engine how’s that actually useful? It’s useful in one aspect that’s it. I’d really like to be able to completely block out anyone I don’t know without having to block everyone of those people, that’s just time consuming.

I’m getting really close to being done

FB is how I keep connected with all sorts of people I had lost contact with, but I’m getting fed up. The algorithms that decide what I see are awful and I miss I lot. I usually switch to the Recent view which does a better job, but still filters, but with every new release that gets more cumbersome to get to. Here’s an example: yesterday was my birthday, so I figured I’d see my birthday wishes at or near the top this morning. I saw several ads and then a ton of other stuff. I never did find them in my feed — I had to go to notifications and tapped on one of the notifications telling me I got a birthday wish which took me to my greetings. I’m sorry, but even if they weren’t birthday wishes, shouldn’t I be immediately seeing posts that just happened yesterday? One of my greetings had an avatar in it and a link for me to follow if I want to make an avatar too. I followed it and it said my app is out of date (which is strange since I have auto-update set on apps) and took me to the App Store were it did *not* show any updates to be installed. I deleted the app and re-installed it, thinking that should fix it, but it didn’t. Since FB has no customer support (I guess they think they’re perfect so they don’t need it) there’s nothing to do. I can try to make an avatar on another device and hope it shows up on my iPad, but that’s it.
