Best For Logging Lifts

I love this app for logging my lifts. It’s simple and has everything you need and nothing more. I lot of apps have a ton of other information but for those that know what they’re doing and just need an app to log their lifts this is the one for you.

I would like to see them change the plate calculator. Right now they display the total amount of plates used on a barbell. I would like them to instead just show what plates are needed on one side. Makes it simpler. After all what you put on one side you’ll put on the other so only need to show what plates need to be used for each side. For example, for 225 instead of displaying four 45 lb plates it would be better to display two 45 lb for each side.

Looked promising but a Non starter

Downloaded because of the nice chart features showcased in the screenshots, separate 1rm, 5rm, 8rm lines… trend lines. Looks nice Upon opening the app it prompts me to import data from other apps but the link just goes to their homepage with no further information. It also says I only have 12 free workouts. I’m not going to waste time entering data if 1) it means I lose all history from other apps 2) after 12 workouts the data will be potentially wasted if I decide not to pay for the app 3) others have noted in their reviews they sunk time into the app and got bait and switched to pay. Just gonna uninstall this. Maybe the developers should make it so I can import data from another app, or perhaps charge for the charts instead of limiting the workouts. I can easily export data from other apps and get whatever charts I need in various programs like excel.

Reply to their reply: it’s a bait and switch because you label the app as “free” on the App Store when it’s not. What don’t you get about this?

Developer Response ,

JoshRib, sorry that the import instructions link did not work for you, you can try again, it describes how to import any file in the app, which is to open it from the Share menu in Files.app or an email attachment. You can import data from several other apps and can export your data as a CSV file.

There is no bait and switch, as you mention it says how many free workouts are available for trial, some user was oblivious to this apparently.

Extremely Helpful

I used to just try keeping track of what I was lifting in my head, but my head is a little forgetful sometimes.

I’ve used this app for the last 4 months and the amount of progress I’ve made is astronomical. Knowing exactly what I’ve lifted the previous workouts has helped me reach PR’s every week. I am so glad I’m using this now. This is the most amount of progress I’ve ever made lifting.

I’d say just paying for the whole app without doing the subscription is worth it.
