Face ID problems
So basically I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max and when I try to use the app and log in with Face ID it always gets disabled regardless how many times I re enable it and it’s random too like yesterday I turfed Face ID on and today it got disabled again but my iPhone 7 Touch ID never got disabled like my Face ID does. It’s annoying
Face ID Frustrations
First let me say I like FNB. However, the app’s Face ID issues ruin the experience and perception of the bank. Part of the appeal of Face ID is that it eliminates having to type in passwords, speeds up access and allows you to login and execute tasks with one hand. Not so with the FNB Direct app. Even with Face ID enabled, I have to type in a secret questions answer every time I attempt a Face ID login. It just make the app frustrating. I want to check a balance quick after a deposit, but have to put on my glasses, read the question and answer properly to get access to my account. I know this is a “first world” type problem, but it creates frustration every time I access the app and because it’s their app I associate that frustration with FNB.
Loading app malfunction
Nice app. Has important features like account register, online deposits and bill pay. However the bill pay only shows pending scheduled transactions. What it lacks is sent transactions so you have to hope you scheduled it and wait for the check to clear or use the full browser website to see if it was sent. Doable but not always convenient. Function needs to be in the app.
