Fold: Earn and buy bitcoin 4+

It’s easy. Good on gift cards, good on wheel

So, this easily matches any other card. What am I going to do with reward mileage or 1% back on buying more products or something. This is an easy way to get involved in the cryptocurrency world, in terms of rewards. The community is good and you can get involved on your own terms. Now I haven’t really explored other offers. And I like they’ve linked to an actual bank.

It’s been consistently above 1%, before and after this current wheel. And the extra spins are fun. Getting rewards for something you were going to purchase is not gambling. I don’t understand how people can equate it like that.

Anyways, the discord community is vibrant and it looks like they’re developing more, like that metaverse thing. Don’t know much, but I dislike Facebook (which is where i see news popping up more when concerning the future of alts in the interweb).

Was great but going downhill quickly

The fold and spin+ experience was pretty great when I first purchased the yearly membership. However, during that year there were constant downgrades to the membership. They did make some improvements but they didn’t even come close to making up for the downgrades. By downgrades I’m talking about changes to the reward system so you constantly receive less and less rewards. Unfortunately, this has happened so much over the last 2 years that I didn’t renew my spin+ membership.

Also I feel the experience is a tedious and time consuming process if you use it to pay bills. There are constant issues with payments going through and/or deposits and linking accounts. To make it worth the membership fee you have to buy gift cards to get extra rewards, which in my opinion is annoying. The rewards continued to shrink so much that it is no longer worth the hassle of using Fold. And being in NY, fold doesn’t allow me to purchase Bitcoin so I have never been able to utilize that perk. They blew me off when I asked about a reduced membership fee since they do not allow me to purchase Bitcoin.

So ultimately the Fold experience went from 4-5 stars to 1-2 stars over the past 2 years. Hopefully they can reverse the trend of constantly rewarding their members less and less

Regarding bill pay, using your Fold Card on PayPal is still an option if PayPal has your merchant. If not (which is unfortunately out of our control), our most recent release includes our own bill pay rewards, allowing you to earn up to 1.5% back when you pay your bills with your Fold account and routing numbers. We've also greatly improved the deposit and linking account processes. We know it’s frustrating not being able to buy Bitcoin in NY, and we’re working to bring access to NY state residents. Fold is a joke

After seeing a friend spin the wheel and “win” satoshis, I was excited enough to open and account and try it myself. The entire experience was a complete disappointment. I have to say that I’m not a Bitcoin millionaire and my usage is one that I’m comparing to experiences using credit and debit cards and earning rewards. First off, the reward rate never averaged above 1.5%, which didn’t compare with my other credit cards. Second, the card itself took 3+ weeks to arrive, and is about the quality you’d expect from a 1985 library card or Kroger rewards card. Basically the opposite you get from the Apple Card, etc. Third, it’s a pain to remember to come back to the app to spin the wheel, and those spins expire, so you’re constantly having to come back to the app after each purchase. I have better ways to spend my day. Lastly, when I tried to withdraw money from my account, there wasn’t a single ATM that would do so anywhere near me (I live in a metro with Costco, Target, Whole Foods, Nordstroms, but no fee free ATMs for Fold). So when I asked for a check to be sent to me, they charged me for that, and for “activating” my account. Fold is a bust. Just get an Apple Card and get 2% back.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and provide valuable feedback! With our variable rewards program, there is an element of randomness to the rewards.

The original cards were temporary cards to allow us to get cards to our members hands. Updated cards have been sent to everyone and anyone who signs up gets the new card.

A lot of exciting things have happened since you've left the review. If you aren't still using the app/card, I'd suggest taking another look into it!
