Every mechanic knows the feeling — you've done this job before, there was a trick to it, but the details are gone. Did we have a special tool for that? What was the alternate we ended up using last time? Who did I borrow that from? The TMs cover the procedure. They don't cover what actually worked. FRO is where that stuff goes. LOG YOUR JOBS Before, during, and after — create, add, and modify your notes as the job progresses. Aircraft, system, tools, consumables, chemicals, parts, and free-form notes. Build your record as you go. TRACK YOUR TOOLS Every tool you own — condition, location, calibration dates. Organize into sets and kits. Know what's borrowed and by whom. Photo each one for quick visual reference. SEARCH YOUR HISTORY Full-text search across everything. Facing a familiar job? Pull up what worked last time in seconds. WORKS WHERE YOU WORK Fully offline. No internet, no accounts, no cloud sync. Works in hangars, on flight lines, in maintenance bays with zero connectivity. SHARE WHEN YOU WANT TO Export jobs as PDF reports. Share tools and job records with your crew via AirDrop or Files. You decide what gets shared and with whom. FRO is a personal reference tool — not a replacement for Technical Manuals, Work Cards, or approved procedures. It's the practical knowledge that lives in your head and your notebook. Except now you can actually search it. No subscriptions. No ads. No recurring fees.

What's New in v1.1.5 Jobs now use a numbered list of steps instead of Notes and Recommendations text boxes. Tap Add Step to add one, tap to type, drag to reorder, swipe to delete. Old jobs convert automatically the first time you open the app. Your notes are still there, split into steps. Each step has its own photos. Tap a photo to see it full-screen. Tap the red X to delete one. Use the arrow buttons under each photo to move it left or right. PDF exports show STEPS where they used to show NOTES, matching what's on screen. The Tools list drops the "Individual Tools" subheader. Personal, Shop, and Borrowed labels remain. Coming next: a PDF layout overhaul that puts each step's photos right under that step instead of grouped at the top, and improved voice notes with better transcription. Known issue: dragging a step past another step that has photos can bounce around before settling. Fix coming in the next update.
