Dazzle humanity or destroy it as a magical, two-tailed fox!
"Fox Spirit: A Two-Tailed Adventure" is a 250,000-word interactive fantasy novel by Amy Clare Fontaine, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Seek the mystical Star Ball that will grant you immortality. It is hidden somewhere in Hoshimori, the human village where your family was killed.
Weave illusions, shapeshift, or control minds! Will you become a benevolent guardian, a playful trickster, or a fierce demon? Avenge your family or strive to change their killer's heart? Beguile a human love interest or woo a vulpine mate?
One way or another, you'll set the world on fire!
• Play as male, female, or nonbinary; gay, straight, bi, asexual, or poly.
• Master shapeshifting, illusions, mind control, or foxfire.
• Make mischief, decimate foes, serve the gods, or aid the needy with your magic.
• Get foxy with humans, foxes, or all of the above.
• Explore the world with the heightened senses of a fox.
• Dazzle people with fireworks, or blast them with your flames.
• Support the human empire, or stage a vulpine revolution.
• Achieve immortality, or destroy the Star Ball that sustains it.
• Convince a fox-hating farmer to change his mind—or obliterate him.
I absolutely loved this game. The story was amazing, and it really fueled my love for choose your own adventure stories. The only issue for me is that there's no save feature which makes replaying or even continuing your story difficult. I was reading at night then went to sleep, but I woke up to having the game completely start over. I was able to get back to my place relatively quick however it still is a lacking feature. I think this game would greatly flourish with a save feature. Besides that one issue, I absolutely adored this game, and I can't wait to play more games like this.
Great story, but slightly flawed execution
Desperate for good music
I loved the story and the characters, but it’s clear that the stat system is mostly there for color. You can very easily go through the story and make the same choices no matter how you focus your stats. It’s a very straightforward system with only two real choices in the whole story: whether you support the Wild Masters or the town, and whether you advocate for peace or war. The business with Daichi feels secondary and tacked-on, bearing no relevance to the rest of the story.
Good, but I want to play as a spirit like spirit of the north
angel.dimplez
It looks like spirit of the north, but just like a book and a fox but on the picture looks like a bunch of spirit foxes going around the fox. I’m just mad that you can’t role-play or anything I would write this a five but I just want to role-play play with friends and all that. it’s a good game though, but if you could make a part two where you could role-play and play with friends, I would really love that
Fabulous game, just that we need the option to save:
Akemi-chan:)
It ruins the replay-ability of the game, it also is frustrating to have to redo everything. I really liked this game, but only played one run because I don’t want to redo and scroll through everything. I will not play other games similar to this because of it’s lack of save. If they fix this I most definitely would pursue games like this. :)
You can now choose a font in the Settings menu. Switch to Helvetica for crisp sans-serif text, or try the OpenDyslexic font, designed against some common symptoms of dyslexia. If you enjoy "Fox Spirit", please leave us a written review. It really helps!
