The whole app seems like a development stub for future work when it’s working at all... as of a week ago it just crashes.
I’ve been sorta using it for a year, and when you get it all fiddled together and working, yeah you can control the AC. Usually. Except when it randomly won’t respond to the app. They even added room temp readout (finally) just before the app started crashing. But setup has never been easy or straightforward, and simply updating the WiFi network and password for an AC unit isn’t supported without deleting it and starting over... and NOW the account won’t even let me delete a unit. Friedrich used to be the Cadillac of window ACs... but at least as far as this app goes, it’s followed the analogy too well and gone exactly the way Cadillac did in the 1980s. This app is the V-8-6-4 of software. A real crime given the high quality of the air conditioner itself
Absolutely horrible. DO SOMETHING, FRIEDRICH!
This app was working decently a few weeks ago and now I can't manage my A/C at all. Simply useless and has made my life worse and more stressful as a result. FRIEDRICH should be throwing developers and money at this app since smart A/Cs are the future but it makes me think they don't care about customers at all.
Stopped working with IOS14.
It worked ok before I installed IOS 14 and it completely failed after updating. When it did work I had to sign in every time. The memory function of the sign in process did not work. Also there is no connection to Google Home which Fredrich Go has.
