The review by “horrible “ previously submitted here is almost exactly what I have experienced . It’s incredible and mind boggling how bad this app is and the fact they released this app in the first place and can’t fix it shows they couldn’t care less. As if that was bad enough , customer service is even worse .I have had reps hang up on me and supposed “supervisors” not return calls when I am told I will get a call back in 5 minutes -because they are tired of pretending to trouble shoot this when they don’t have a clue and darn well know it doesn’t work . I have now been told I will get a return call over 10 times and yet they simply don’t call back. It’s disgusting and reprehensible that management allows them to get away with this but apparently no one cares . I have now spent over 35 hours trouble shooting this and wasting my time on this with people who just don’t care . Friedrich customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Nothing comes close .

I have wasted HOURS of my life on this. I have called them 3 times and received 3 different “solutions.” First they said they’d call me back. They never did. Second they said to disable my 5GHz WiFi so I did, no help. The third time they said my 1.03 firmware was old so they sent me new boards which I replaced (not straightforward btw) and now I’m running 1.04. They also updated the app (in the last week I see) and it now says the device is in my profile and I can see the WiFi symbol on the control panel but it’s totally missing from the device list on the app. I’ve had these units for 4 months now but didn’t use them at first due to where I live. They cool well but are a little loud and this WiFi problem is maddening. If they don’t fix it soon I hope they learn how to spell CLASS ACTION.

As a person who works in tech these types of things come quite easy and don’t require research. My Friedrich Kuhl AC will simply not pair using the app or the Friedrich connect website. I’m able to get the AC into pairing mode (wifi icon flashes) and then when I select the Friedrich wifi and then press start to begin the pairing process I just wait endlessly!!! Sometimes I’ll get a prompt that says “We found some networks” select yours but in the drop down there is none. I’m able to proceed and manually enter my SSID, security protocol and password. I’m then prompted with “you device has been successfully set up” BUT it’s NOT in the list of devices. Extremely frustrating
