LOVE IT -one one kink

I have been a member of glossgenius for a year and a half now and I love the layout and fact that you can post a picture as a service. they also tranferred my clients and apointment easily and the website url is very easy to write on a business card or through a voicemail. Love that clients review without awkwardly asking them to! the virtual assistant is A+++++!! , there's needs to be a split payment option for clients who pay half cash/half card and also a waiting list option. booking controls are great as well as being able to have more control. The “block feature I feel is a bust , because you end up getting a text from your client still trying to book it should say not available instead of “something went wrong”- not sure. my ONLY wish is DOLLAR amount discounts instead of percentage such as $10 off- this way clients can see it in their receipt that “hey i received a discount!” and it’s not an awkward number with change

Great until you need help

The overall functionality and feature set of the app is great. But like any point of sale/scheduling application, what truly separates the best of the best from the rest is the support you receive. Like to speak to an actual person? They don’t answer the phone. It goes straight to voicemail after hearing a prerecorded message. Not to mention the support phone number is buried in the settings of the application under the MY QUICK START SETUP GUIDE. Cause that makes sense. Took me 15 minutes just to find it. Why not a simple icon that says support? Seems like they make it difficult to find on purpose. I was trying to receive support because I got an error message after running 3 different client’s cards. We checked their bank account to make sure they had not been charged and sure enough they had. One of them twice. That would be fine if I had received payment too, but I had not. Their solution when I finally heard back by email? Charge my clients again. What sane person would allow you to run their card given these circumstances? Hard to run a business when the point of sale system you rely on makes an error (they all do, it happens) and you can’t receive any support to help you get it fixed. Not providing proper/timely support when needed is unforgivable. Can’t recommend until their support improves. Greatly.

Good but needs some improvement

This is a great booking app I’ve been using it for around 2 years now and there are pros and cons. I like the app for booking but when you try to process sales for products there needs to be an option to select more than 1 so you don’t have to edit the product and price every time you sale 3 or 4 and same with services I have families that come in and want to pay all together, so I have to add a haircut and then edit a haircut to say 3 haircuts and then edit the price to match that; instead of being able to just select 3. Also when it comes to discounts I wish you could just add a dollar amount rather than a percentage because then you have to sit and calculate to make sure you are entering the correct percentage for the dollar discount promised. And I don’t like that addresses don’t save and cards on file can only be used with an appointment and not for sales. I have a lot of clients that order products in between appointments and want me to use the card on file.

As for booking and the website esthetics and options I do love that and love the url links and how easy it is to share with clients.
