Glitch vs charging issue
I have had this for less than a week and when it works it is great! I have been having the problem where it will only blip on real quick when you press the power button, even after supposedly charging all night. Once I did some research, I tried putting a rubber band around the charging cord and wrapped it around the top of the device so it pushed the device into the cord all night and it’s been working today, so we’ll see!
As far as the app goes, it would be really nice if the app would show you how much battery power the device has left since there’s no way of telling how close you are to it dying on you.
So I just recently purchased this device and I’m very pleased with it. You can have it active during raids and while battling gyms and it will still catch and spin for you. It can be a little bit buggy with connectivity but it just a simple turn on. The battery life is very good, I spent all day using this and it didn’t die until the next day half way through. It does eat through a lot of pokeballs but that’s not to bad considering how you won’t even check your phone and you’ll come back after an hour or so and have loads of Pokémon that it caught for you. I would highly recommend turning off Go notifications through your phone settings and I like to turn vibrate on for the Go-tcha app so I know it’s still working and I don’t have to reconnect it. I give it 4 stars due to the ease of use and how convenient it makes things, how ever the random loss in connection does get a little annoying at times IE. I was at dinner and used 3 lures. And it was working great then about 15 or 20mins in it disconnected without me noticing, it was at this point I decided to turn on vibrate other than that this item has been great!
Works great! New Feature Request
Hi, love this! It works great!
I was wondering if you could add a “toggle” option in the app to turn OFF setting changes on the watch itself. Sometimes the watch rubs against my coat or I touch the button on it and it turns off the auto-catch by accident. I don’t ever use the watch button to set any settings except to turn it on for connecting, so I would like the watch to “lock” so I don’t accidentally turn off catching.
Other than that, it’s absolutely great! Thanks for creating it!
Also, to anyone having issues (I read the complaints) it seems a lot of people are suffering from “user error”. I wish I could reply to everyone, but most of the complaints have to do with how they are controlling the device and their understanding of how the device functions when connected vs not connected. And how to pair the device properly. I do agree these could be solved if the device came with an instruction manual or downloadable PDF (that could be updated) but I own 3 and have run into SOME of the issues, but it’s always been my fault because I didn’t set something up properly. When in doubt unpair and re-pair. Or turn off all settings / catch options and turn back on in the app settings and that fixes it. Also don’t run Pokémon go while also running the gotcha updater, they will be in conflict. Good luck everyone!
