• Ask The Armorer got the same touch: an ambient icon rain greets you until you start a conversation.
• Respects Reduce Motion — turn it on and the rain settles into a calm, static scatter.

GunBase now connects through its own dedicated home for a faster, more reliable experience. This is a behind-the-scenes update, with no change to how you use the app.
1.6.2 Jun 19
This update fixes a crash that could happen when adding an item with a large batch of photos. Thanks for using GunBase.

Face ID comes to GunBase — two ways.
App Lock: require Face ID, or your device passcode, to open GunBase, so your firearms inventory stays for your eyes only. GunBase locks the moment you open it and again whenever you've stepped away, and a privacy screen keeps your collection hidden in the app switcher.
Sign In with Face ID: skip retyping your password. When your session expires, GunBase signs you back in with a quick Face ID check — and on the login screen, one tap brings you right back to your collection.
Both are optional and off by default. Turn them on anytime in Settings under Face ID.

Adding items to your inventory is now faster, clearer, and more reliable:
• Redesigned analysis screen — your photos stay front and center while GunBase identifies each item, then everything comes together on one clean screen before you review and save.
• Automatic market-value research — current prices are pulled from the web and fill in for you.
• More reliable photo uploads, especially on slower or spotty connections.
• A more polished add-item experience throughout.
1.4.1 Jun 4
What’s new in 1.4.0:
• Buy Rounds without leaving the app — pick up a Magazine, Box, Case, or Ammo Can right from Settings whenever you need more AI firearm analyses.

• Power users can connect their own OpenRouter account to run analyses on their own AI credits.
• Friendlier messaging when you’ve run out of Rounds.
• Performance and stability improvements.

The Armorer just got a whole lot smarter — and better looking.
• Cleaner Chat Responses — When The Armorer answers your inventory questions, tables, lists, and headings now display with proper formatting instead of raw text. Ask "show me my pistols" and see your collection laid out in a crisp, easy-to-read table.
• Improved Readability — Bullet points, numbered lists, and section headers from The Armorer's responses are now styled and organized, making it easier to scan your inventory data at a glance.
This update focuses on polishing The Armorer chat experience so you can get the most out of your AI-powered inventory assistant.

NEW FEATURES
- Export: Export your inventory as CSV, PDF, or JSON. Choose which fields to include, apply filters, sort your data, and share via the iOS share sheet. PDF exports can include photos and a summary page. Also export all your item photos as a ZIP.
- Sort & Filter Overhaul: Six sort options (recently updated, recently added, name A-Z/Z-A, value high/low) plus a new container filter. Active filters appear as removable chips below the search bar. The filter icon fills when active so you always know at a glance.
- Armorer Chat Photos: When you ask The Armorer about a specific item, it now shows photos of the items it references — a single hero image for one item, or a scrollable strip for multiple. Tap any photo card to jump directly to that item's detail page, then tap back to return to your chat.
- Dynamic Stats: The inventory dashboard (total items, total value, type breakdown) now updates live when you filter or search, showing you the stats for your current view instead of the full collection.
- Scrolling Inventory: The stats header and type pills now scroll with the list instead of taking up fixed space. The search bar uses the native iOS search pattern — pull down to reveal, auto-hides as you scroll.
IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES
- Fixed a crash when tapping the compose button in The Armorer while a chat was active.
- Fixed dark mode toggle switches that were invisible due to the app's monochrome tint.
- Fixed export button corners being clipped in the export sheet.
- Improved empty state messaging when filters return no results.
- Backend sort now supports name and date sorting (previously only value sort worked beyond the default).
