Capture
Snap a photo of your bill or receipt, automatically sharing it with your accountant, bookkeeper or teammates.
Extract
Hubdoc will extract the supplier’s name, amount, invoice number and due date, so you can say goodbye to data entry.
Store
The document will be filed automatically in a digital filing cabinet, which means you can toss the paper copy.

Does what it has to, with some help…
HubDoc itself is a good platform that pretty much runs in the background of my business. I like HubDoc because it allows sync of receipts to google drive, Xero Files and Dropbox (which also allows local backup on an HD).
However the ui/ux of the mobile app is awful. It feels lost in a time long past.. neglected even. The web app isn’t that much better.. fortunately, despite using HubDoc everyday of my life for years now, I rarely have to actually interface with their software.
I use turboscan to scan the receipts since it makes them look nice. Then I send from turbo scan to hubdoc via email. The HubDoc scanner in this app is essentially just taking a photo, poor quality results and certainly not acceptable for archiving receipts in a way that I would be satisfied with.
Xero needs to put some investment into HubDoc as it is an essential part of their platform and it’s core functionality is solid.
Finally! An app that uploads pictures reliably.
I am so glad they finally got around to updating the app. This update is a 10x improvement and I’m happy to see it.
The first feature I would like to see Hubdoc add to the new app is notes.
Can’t upload FILES, no Share menu
Can’t upload FILES only photos, no Share menu.
ZOMBIE-WARE.
Can’t share files or photos to the Hubdoc app from OTHERS apps.
It doesn’t allow that (Xero app and Expenses app do!) Minimum Viable Product. Xero has done almost nothing and is letting Hubdoc wither on the vine. Near abandon-ware.
