The cube alone is worth it. Personally, I got a stand as well. I was going to invest in LED strips, but I have spent the last 3 months trying to get the cube to connect to the app. I just read a review today that said you had to put your phone on top of the blue button to get the app to work. I just tried it and unbelievably, it worked. I am going to see if it stays connected. If not, I will not make any other purchase with this company. Again, the cube is great, but connecting to the cube manually every time you want to use it is not great.

The app is fantastic. I was disheartened when seeing the reviews for it, loved my hyper cube but thought maybe they skimped on the app and it would be a source of futile frustration to try and use. Waited a few days to even mess with it. But much to my surprise and delight, upon doing so it connected very easily for me, and had a host of useful controls. Everything I could really want is in there. Don’t know what people are so dissatisfied with. The cube is fantastic even without an app, the button lets you do most of what you need to enjoy it. But sometimes it is nice to go in and get a little finicky with it. I actually really appreciate the efficiency of the app, I think it must be very well coded because it opens quickly and you can immediately adjust the brightness or power it off. Or you can go further in and access all of the granular controls. It’s super snappy and very straightforward, not much of a learning curve to speak of. Makes me wish other apps on my phone and elsewhere in life were so well executed, almost everything else I click on requires long loading screens and needs to refresh every time it’s opened, whether I want to or not. This app has zero bloat, and feels just as well fought out as the cube itself. So thank you guys for the quality hardware and software.

Amazing product, highly recommend and have 2 with another on the way. However the app doesn’t let me connect my cube to my wifi. I’ve tried all methods, took the password off router etc to troubleshoot. App only works when directly connecting to cube. Seems to be based on wled. Many options and awesome product that would be perfect if the app worked better and my cube would stay on my wifi!

Edit - updated the app. It works flawlessly now. Review based on new update - perfect function, this product is my favorite lighting fixture at home. Can’t wait to see what else these dudes come up with
