This is like protocols, it is made for engineers and it’s workflow is more of an engineering mind than a creators mind(Cubasis). But, as an artist, I like the fact that it function like a desktop DAW and has the best feature of them all, AAF export. I can’t capture ideas in Auria Pro and export them to LUNA on my desktop. Cubasis can do it but limits me to Cubase on the desktop. Cubasis has an easier workflow and some good plugins that can be purchased. It seems Auria has the basics eq/compression built in. Auria Pro also gets the bus routing right for making refined mixes. Although the file manage,ent is cumbersome..anyone who spends a few weeks using Auria will figure out how to get everything to feel free flowing. Like with most things, if you spend the time you will learn to be creative with all that you are able to do. What is limiting or what you can’t do isn’t as powerful as what you can do. Less is more. Use this within your device’s capabilities. I’d give five stars but…I’d want a better file management option. Excellent software.

I would be glad to pay for IAPs that expand Auria in the future!Maybe adopting Mela’s collections price strategy or Loopy Pro’s update policy to make all your extensive work on this project become financially viable for you?There’s a community of folks that really appreciate a great sounding, regularly updated song creation program as deep as this.VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

Too many bugs for the price

I really want to like this app, but it is riddled with bugs that get in the way of the creative process. I came from making music in Ableton but wanted to try out some of the cool apps on iPad (like the Moog stuff). So I needed a DAW on the iPad to really make use of the cool music apps. I tried Cubasis and really dug the experience. The only thing missing for me were warp markers. Enter Auria Pro, which has that feature. $50 was a steep price, but I paid it after reading many glowing reviews. After diving into the app, I soon learned just how buggy it truly is. Want to adjust the tempo after working in a song? You may very well screw up the placement of MIDI notes if you do. The ONE Dev--THE ONE DEV FOR THIS $50 APP--suggests the best practice for dealing with this known issue is to start the song out with the tempo you'll use. Really?! Every other DAW lets you change the tempo at any time, but with Auria, it's a crapshoot if you try. And then the recorded audio tracks are always muting out with a popping glitch. So you got to restart the app. Pros? I like the sounds in the sampler. The piano is nice, as are the marimba and the drums. Side note on the drums within the sampler... If you want to build your own custom drum kit, you've got do it using a word pad or an app on your computer to create an sfz file. It works, but it's a bit cumbersome compared to the ability within Cubasis or fl studio to drop in the one shots of your choice. Honestly, I can live with that if this app were more stable, but sadly it is not. Overall, I've had a bad experience with Auria Pro.
• Audio Units with more than one output can now feed separate tracks. A plug-in's extra outputs — ReStem's individual drum stems, for example — appear in a track's input menu under "Plug-in Outputs", and choosing one sets up the routing for you.
• Fixed MIDI tracks slowly drifting out of time over the course of a long playback.
• Realtime quantize now places notes correctly when a plug-in that reports latency is loaded.
• Fixed crashes on iPadOS 26, including when using Undo and when Auria analysed a region's transients.
• Restore Purchases no longer reports success while restoring nothing.
• Auria no longer stops saving permanently if its project folder has been moved or deleted.
• Fixed a burst of noise in the master output on play and stop when a plug-in reports a large latency.
• Delay compensation fixes: tracks fed from a bus or from a plug-in output now line up with the rest of the mix, bypassing an Audio Unit updates compensation straight away, and the playhead follows what you hear.
• Recordings made through a subgroup are now placed at the correct position.
• Scrubbing follows your finger accurately again, and no longer goes silent when a plug-in with latency is loaded.
• Fixed a crash in Drumagog when its kit files are missing.
• Various stability fixes, including a rare crash when plug-in latency changes during playback.
