Coverage includes more than 1000 buoys and 200 ships worldwide, spanning the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans near the U.S. and Canada, the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, and waters around Ireland and Great Britain.
Simply tap any buoy or ship on the map to view its latest reported conditions. Tap again for a full summary or an interactive graph of recent trends, so you can see not only what’s happening now, but how conditions have changed over time.

This app DOES NOT provide tide data, or maritime or other weather forecasts. There are dedicated apps for these from other publishers that do an excellent job. This app specializes exclusively in buoy and ship observation data.
Please note that not all buoys have all types of data available, and buoys do experience intermittent outages — a life at sea can be harsh!
Additionally, note that some buoys may be seasonal, and may be physically removed from the water during winter months, such as in the Great Lakes.

I used this app everyday 27months when I worked in cleaning up the deep water horizon oil spill . I was on Dauphin Island for my complete service. This App Gave me the help i needed to insure the safety of the day. Out in the water by vessel or on Land. In conjunction with Noaa Radar Live and Cost Gaurds updates my day was planned. THE BUOY REPORTS were accurate and let us know when the waters would be choppy on the water .. Thank You ,Lisa

Love this app. great for fishing and any other boating weather awareness requirements. I used to use these to predict where hurricanes would track. I’m no meteorologist, but it’s a fun challenge. Long ago when I was in aviation, I used them to see what the water temperature was. It helped us predict inevitable fog on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and Block Island. Always file a float plan!

Very easy app to use. Awesome that you can favorite for east future look up. I wish you could apply filters so if, for example, you wanted to know the wind you could filter off all those that don’t record wind. Or turn off ships. Other the having to find what you’re looking for the app is extremely straight forward and useful.

Thanks for the feedback! An "Interactive Map Legend" has been included in the latest release that allows you to filter out buoys/ships based on various criteria.

Really easy to use and read buoy app . Some buoys are wind and temp and some buoys are wave direction and period. Fast loading and easy to scroll all over the world map. Can save certain buoys to your favorites for quick info reading in a favorites list . My favorite buoy app so far
