No longer limited to a computer, CorrLinks users can visit with their family/friends incarcerated at most Bureau of Prison women institutions (check with Bureau which facilities allow video visitation) from the convenience of their phone. Video session times are set by each institution, but are generally available every day of the week! Video sessions last 25 minutes, starting at the top and bottom of each hour. CorrLinks users are not charged for video sessions. Per Bureau rules only the incarcerated individual may schedule the video visit, and you have the ability to accept their invitation. For a positive experience it is very important you connect to the video session from a location that has fast and reliable internet access, and that ambient lighting is bright enough for the camera to capture a good picture.

So I haven’t used CorrLinks Video in a while. I never uninstalled it off of my devices. I have it on two devices, my iPhone, and my iPad unfortunately now my loved one is able to use video again and every time I try to login to do the test it’s telling me that I’m not logging in right I don’t have the right password and then it has in parentheses SE so I don’t know on the app. It doesn’t have a place for me to contact anyone for help. I’ve changed the password and it still won’t let me in so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong can you help?

So I have a loved one who is incarcerate. The picture quality and sound quality have always been less than acceptable but with no other option - even based off use of all the FAQs…I have continue to use the app. This week however during a session the app abruptly ends the session and tells me that I need to do the update in order to continue to use the service. I check: My iOS is up-to-date (I ran the video and audio test every time prior to a call session. So I know that was up-to-date 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.). I review the information on the current app. It says the last update was well over a year ago…? So I delete it and all of its data and revisit the App Store to download it again thinking I must be in need of a newer version? But wait? What is this? It is the same exact APP, with the same exact year ago last updated information.If I didn’t know better I would feel like I’m being punished by using this application under the surmise of guilty by association! Fix the bugs. This is not an end-user problem. This is a publisher’s issue. Just bad customer service. Does anyone know of an alternative platform? Attention all developers - you have some easy competition here. Because I will be standing in line to sign up For some thing else after a year of this poor service.

iPhone XR: audio quality issues, causes echoes

Used to use the app on my iPhone 6s Plus and worked perfectly but this app is outdated and hasn’t been updated to confirgue to the iPhone XR and latest update of iOS. The only way to make the call work without extremely loud shrieking noise on both ends of the call is by lowering the the volume completely, speaking into the microphone.. and then raising volume VERY low to hear the voice of the inmate on the other end.. smh . No customer service, no technical support line, and no update, pretty sad how the Federal system is doing. :/ hope for important improvements in the future through. It causes stress on the families & THE Inmate especially since we don’t get to see our family and this is the only form of reliable communication.

The quality of the video is very low, but overall this app is not bad at all. I was so happy to learn that I finally could talk to my child and see her! In country I am from there is no such a thing as video call or even possibility to call from prison home. I am so glad that all these years I had a chance to communicate with my daughter. Thanks to this app I was able to let her listen her favorite music and audio congratulations from all her relatives on the Birthdays. I make screen shots and share pictures with all who misses her.
