Cardiographs calculates the pulse or heart rate using the built-in smartphone sensors and devices (camera, LED flashlight, etc.). You can save your results to check history of pulse results and view graphs of your measurements Heart Rate Monitor. The clear and intuitive interface, how to use: - lightly put your finger on the rear camera lens and on the flashlight, - hold your fingerprint until measurement is complete, - do not touch too hard - blood circulation (pulse) can be changed and affect the results - using a smartphone or tablet without an LED flashlight, make measurements in a well lit area - during the measurement, stay calm, try don't move and don't talk, because it may interfere with measurement accuracy. Putting your finger to the camera doesn’t work. Putting it on the radial artery doesn’t work well, but it works better than your finger. It’s easier to just check normally, with your finger, an artery, and a watch, than to use this app. Cool concept, but phone cameras just weren’t built with this kind of use in mind. Something that would help is actually a screen tap frequency to bpm app, which you’ll actually find in music apps. “Soundcorset,” for example, lets you input in this way. No app can rival medical knowledge, unless it specifically teaches it.

This takes so many tries to even get a reading! I have to reposition my finger multiple times to even get my pulse to register, then, once it is registered it will just stop registering half way through the reading and I have to start all over. I have three other apps for ECG and all of them read on the first try. This one is so frustrating because it takes several minutes to even get a reading, and that is if I don’t just given up in the process.

My cardiologist wants me to get an app for my Apple Watch to view EKG strips. This app has recorded significant strips to share with my cardiologist, but I can’t open the entire strip. And yes, I bought the premium subscription.

Please, do not interpret this as result of medical examination, especially not as an electrocardiogram that can only be performed by medic!
