Only good transport app
The Go Buses app is the only app for booking/managing bus or train tickets that I have ever had a positive experience with. The buses themselves are usually very comfortable and clean, and service, while not perfect, is definitely better than most other intercity bus companies. The app is so easy and it’s great that you don’t need to log into an account to view your tickets (or past journeys), it’s all saved locally on your phone.
Nowhere to redeem points.
The app seems pretty straightforward. It easily loads my information, shows me how many points I have and how many I’m going to get, and shows me where to enter the promo codes I get often from the company. However, it doesn’t give me an option to apply loyalty points to my purchase; I can do it on the website but not on the app. I called customer service and reached a man and a woman. The man was pleasant but had no experience with the app and couldn’t help, and the woman was very rude and kept saying that it probably just wasn’t loading “because of my browser,” when I wasn’t even USING the browser, I was using the app (I told her this). I have no issues with the site or booking when I use the browser but figured I’d try the app out. I will not be using this app until this is fixed.
Horrible, Life-Threatening Service
The bus was supposed to arrive destination at 8pm. But the bus stopped in the middle of nowhere (2 hours from destination) at 8:30pm. Then the driver said his hours were up and let more than 30 passengers to go home by our own means. I called the company and they had no clue. I called 911 and then a state police officer arrived. Eventually they found a new driver and got us to the city. I arrived home at mid night. This was literally the most terrible bus service I ever had. I will file a lawsuit against them.
