Overall, this is easily the best ELD app that used, but it needs one QoL change for us drivers that I believe would be super helpful. Instead of the usual 1 warning that we get 30 mins before our hours are up, there needs to be a better implementation where the last 30 mins give warnings every 5 mins intervals. Sometimes as a driver you are exhausted and aren’t as attentive due to being up for hours and hours and just as you’re about to make your final stretch, you forget to put on personal conveyance to go to a safe haven or pull over sooner and instead, get a violation. Something as big as a violation just needs a better warning system so that way we do what we gotta do as drivers to avoid it. Please take this into consideration. Thank you!

Ok just had same issue I am talking about in the rest of the review 3 times in last 5 min. These idiots actually had the gall to email me and ask if I would care to change my review after my original one. I responded with have you fixed the problem? Crickets. This app is a dumpster fire for PC. Kicks you to on duty randomly by asking" Do you want to stay in PC or go Off Duty?" while you are driving! If you select stay in PC it will reward you with one minute of on duty driving then put you back on PC. Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Been using it for five years at three different companies and it did it at all three. The ONLY TIME it should change is if driver selects or driver runs up against company restricted time or distance. Another product designed by people in an office, driving a desk that should never be allowed to make products used by an actually useful, productive human being. Actually sent an email complaint to Samsara about this but they apparently have no concern to fix this. Again dumbest feature I have ever seen and it is obviously programmed in, not a bug. The Samsara people emailed me and asked if I would update my review. PC has not been fixed. Also I would like to know why the app just logs you out occasionally without asking the driver if they want to IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR SHIFT WHILE DRIVING! If the app was a physical object seperate from my phone I would get great satisfaction from smashing it with a hammer. BTW the logo for the company is an Owl? Dumbest birds of all according to wildlife biologists. Fits the bill.

Slow when it’s actually responsive. Soul draining when it crashes. Buggy at all times. It’s as if each update (and believe me, there are MANY) is designed to somehow make a bad app even worse. I guess it’s good for seeing how well you can keep your purest rage in check if, god forbid, you put your phone down to engage in high risk security threats like, I don’t know, opening a door or having to move an asset out of the way while in the middle of a document, because if your phone goes to sleep for one second, you WILL be starting all over from scratch since the developers can’t seem to get their minds around the simple concept of pausing. Also good for testing rain gear in a storm while doing a DVIR since you will wait 10-15 seconds each time you need to open the camera to take pictures of your vehicle. I’ve always said that the greatest day of my life was the day my child was born, but I’m now convinced that that beautiful day will be dwarfed in comparison by the joy that will wash over me the day I no longer have to log into this app.Hostile adversarial crowds are often known to chant the age old phrase ‘Death to America’ but I’m pretty sure they would change that to ‘Death to Samsara’ if they were ever subjected to this app. They’re so lucky they aren’t.

The app will switch my duty status to On Duty at random times. It will also sometimes not switch to Driving because it is not properly connected to the truck. Those will occasionally be fixed by logging out of the app weekly, but it happened to me this week after my weekly log out. This app doesn’t work well with split breaks. I spent 7 hours sleeper berth yesterday, 2 & a half hours at a shipper, those don’t work together, I then left to go to the consignee and had about 6 hours that I would be early to the consignee, which doesn’t allow overnight parking so I went to the company lot for 5 & a half hours. I had about 3 and a half hours left on my 11 & 14 hour clocks, 2 hours 15 minutes into delivery and it again wanted to replace my short break with the current one which wasn’t long enough and would have put me into violation. I had to edit 1 minute on duty into both times I was docked. Allow the driver to select one break for their short and long breaks in a split break so that the driver can avoid any problems with violations on their clocks.
