Devs has made strides to improve game since previous review

The last time I reviewed this game a couple years ago, I went into long detail about how the game is catered to the big spenders/top players and how it is not a new-player-friendly game. I still stand by this but at the time I wrote, the game was stagnating and seemingly had no future. While I still worry about the game’s ability to attract and retain new players, I can see that they have tried to bring meaningful change. I don’t know what internal changes have been made at ATA but they have been good and it’s been benefitting this game bringing more of what the players want back. My review remains 4 stars but it is worth nothing my previous 4-star review was more so upheld by its 5 star history with me. It was a pity 4 because. This time around it’s a solid 4 star review. Keep doing what you’re doing, ATA, your work doesn’t go unnoticed!

Got banned for nothing and they refused to help

I’ve played this game for a decade. Put plenty of money in and really enjoyed the time I put into the game. Then one day I got on and was told I was banned permanently. Not sure what I did considering I hadn’t cheated or said anything in chats that would lead to a ban. Since I was banned and couldn’t contact support (their support email stopped existing) so I was forced to download PIMD to get some help. They essentially told me my account was linked to hundreds of others and was immediately banned and there’s nothing I can do about it. I have one phone and one account. I can’t even make a new account because it just says I’m banned. I got banned for doing nothing but playing the game, so I’m forced to give this a one star. Don’t touch it.Edit: then they tell you they’ve wiped your account yet you still can’t play. And then say use the in game help button WHEN YOU LITERALLY CANT DO ANYTHING IN GAME WHEN BANNED! It’s just a blank screen that says I’m banned. I DIDNT DO ANYTHING! I can’t talk with anyone and I’m basically screwed. Really disappointing considering how much time and money I put into this game.Edit 2: 6 years later I'm still salty. I did nothing. Seems like all their new games are garbage cash grabs though.

I love KaW! But getting tired

I’d consider myself one of the OG’s of KaW because I started playing 3 months after it hit the AppStore. I’ve seen it all when it comes to KaW, GaW, PIMD, and that one futuristic version of KaW/GaW😂 Lately I’ve just been on cruise mode when playing. I don’t grind like I used to anymore because there seems to be some sort of bias between Devs and certain players. Most of the event chasers are almost impossible to keep up with despite spending $20 a week. I love the new equipment every event, keeps it fresh and something to work towards which is a huge plus. A negative with the event equipment is that it also takes two other resources to upgrade that equipment and it feels like I get new equipment much more faster than I’m getting resources to upgrade them. Also if you want any sort of edge, you have to spend some money. Whether that’s on nobility or doing some offers from the oracle. I still absolutely love the game and will continue to play but only part time. It’s not worth putting most of your effort into this game without spending money.

I recently jumped back into playing this game after a many year hiatus and I was happy to see some meaningful changes. However, it seems those meaningful changes are no longer happening with any haste by the developers and the community has been incredibly vocal about that on this game’s forum. In fact, under every single update the developers have posted since I returned have asked for new content. Unfortunately, I have not seen a single response from the developers. I think I am nearing the end of my journey with this game as I too am getting to the point where the content is stale. Running the same 2-3 epic battles for 6 months now is not exactly the type of content that keeps people engaged. I think this stale feeling is amplified when you see the developers actively ignoring dozens of comments asking for the same changes. That being said, the core function of the game is still fun! What’s left of this community is very active and friendly. I just wished the developers played a more active role in developing and interacting with the community.
