Haiku Makes Great Games but....
I originally reviewed this after the first chapter (as requested); everything was going well and made sense to that point. It got much, much more difficult as it progressed and not everything was as clear as in the beginning. The puzzles, while offering great variety and not the same old same old, are often quite difficult and it is not always obvious what needs to be done. I like being challenged, but if I need to spend hours on one puzzle, I get irritated and just want to move on. That said, I have completed several games from this developer and keep coming back for more.
Doesn’t save your process.
All the games I have played by this developer is fun. Some puzzles are challenging while others are exciting to play. I love all their games but this one drove me insane hence why I am giving it a 2 star rating. I would play the game, solve a really hard puzzle that I wanted to give up on and I finally get through it then move on. Move on to the next challenge where I would put my phone down and come back later and have to do the whole chapter over again. Errrrrrrr! So extremely frustrating. None of the other games do this. If you stopped in the middle of the chapter you can still pick up where you left off. Not this game for some reason. So again I would have to redo the challenging puzzle again, re-find everything again. I was on the last chapter of this game when it had me redo everything. I just deleted the game. I was not going to move those blocks around to get the stopper out again. Frustrating
SO FAR SO GOOD
Only solved one chapter, so don't know what I am doing yet. But like the game and it seems to work well. Would help if there were some instructions. Will review again later when I figure out what I am doing. JKasie
Chap.3. Still don't know all what I am doing, but progressing. Fun game. Don't bother with hints though. They aren't very helpful.
Chap.5 Have not played for months. Returned to game and started at beginning. Still like the game but gave only 3 stars because: hints are stupid and don't help. Need to be more specific. Don't use ! The really bad thing tho is no save. I only have short times to play games, so have to repeat puzzles that I have solved because game is sent back to the beginning of the chapter if I don' have time to finish it in one sitting. BORING to repeat. So I stop playing the game. Too bad, because I basically like the game.
