Latest update ruins night mode

Despite the release notes that the white flash screen is gone, it absolutely isn't; and websites look worse now with more elements being hidden than before the update.

Video previews are blacked out. For example, searching Google for a music video presents a video thumbnail of the video, but with the night owl profile turned on, the thumbnail preview is completed blacked out. Also when playing the video, if you tap on the video to change any settings or fast forward/rewind, the video gets blacked out and stays that way unless in full screen mode

Terrible mobile interface but ITS FREE

Beggars can't be choosers, when apps are Free I set my expectations low and If it overwhelmingly exceeds low expectations and doesn't have pop up ads everywhere, I am more definitely be a lot more curious about the developers. Who are they? Where are they ? What other apps have they made and what is thei angle 😂?? People please be smart. It's always made sense to assume I've traded somehing of value anytime I receive something of value. That's how capitalism work. I'm embarrassed for the human race every time I hear someone saying they used or sold or now own in part or fully my data personal or not without authorization. It's always been one click away, lots of scrolling and fine print but you can use the find me and search any word or phrase so you can get to the point instead of drowning in legalese ! Did this 8 years ago with Facebook and haven't been back. It's Always been toxic, don't let technology hamper your ability to make rational, logical, choices and decisions for yourself and your children.

Best dark mode Safari extension

This is a top-tier dark mode / night mode Safari extension for iOS 15+. It’s also free, and doesn’t look to have any privacy issues. I’d recommend changing the background color to pure black, and set it to automatically apply to all webpages. It works great.

For the developer, it may be worth considering having the app open directly to night mode settings. I think that will be a lot more popular in this mobile app than it may be on desktop. After my experience with this, I’ll definitely be looking into the extension for Microsoft Edge on my PC.
