I love the Cloud. This year was crazy - some family health problems, my own surgery, and other events that required my time and attention. Temping allowed me to schedule around events. I am able to select when and where I work. I can choose the practices I would like to temp for and return to and which to exclude. I can choose what type practices I would like to temp for (perio) and which I can pass on (pedio). The cloud allows me to make these choices for myself through the app and to be direct deposit paid so no time spent collecting. I have been a hygienist for 30 years and temped on my days off for most of those. The cloud puts the need for most temp agencies to rest. I also feel the reviews and frequency of temping puts you to the top of the available list and can keep you busy where you can make a good living earning $5-10/hr more working the schedule that works for you.

I’ve been temping for about 10 years with various agencies. Although I appreciated their efforts to keep me scheduled, it was never ideal. They would send me where they wanted to send me, often farther than I wanted to drive. Often I’d get asked by a practice if I was available a certain day the next week or next month and they would request me, but the agency would send me somewhere else. I like to control who I accept, block the ones that don’t align with my ideals and values or ones that have poor instruments and equipment. I have complete autonomy and ask for what I feel I am worth and change my hours or days based on my schedule, even last minute if I haven’t booked an office yet. I love Cloud for its flexibility and customization. The app is great! The capabilities are great! I also love that they offer CE!

I have been temping through cloud for 5 months now and have recently been coming across issues with offices canceling shifts 3 days before or releasing me early because their schedule fell apart. Cloud dentistry lists that they have a guarantee pay policy for early releases but gave me a hard time when I tried to get the pay after being released more than 4 hours early from a shift. An office also canceled on me 3 days before my shift and there was no penalty for them, they only have to pay you if they cancel within 24 hours before your shift. However, no matter how far in advance you cancel a shift your profile score will be docked 10 points! How is this fair? I suggest sticking to other temping apps such as GoTu that hold their offices to a higher standard and must pay you if they cancel within 3 days of your shift, you also don’t have to jump through hoops to get your full day pay if you’re released early.
